  • "Michael Jackson was using propofol so he could sleep, which is like doing chemothreapy because you're tired of shaving your head."

    -Robin Williams.

  • an propofol to death?

  • NEW NAME:MILK OF DEATH!!!!!!!!J4MJ..

  • Murray claims he gave Michael Jackson 25 mg of Propofol. 25 mg wouldn't be enough to knock Michael out or a person half his size.

  • I have nothing but respect for Dr. Gupta. He always explains things so thoroughly and breaks it down for everyone to understand.

  • Comment removed

  • I really don't understand the need for this stuff. If they want the patient unconscious immediately, all that is required is to show them the bill.

  • Damn it's common for people to stop breathing as soon as they get put under from this stuff! How the hell did michael survive all the times he reportedly was given this stuff in his bed with NO ventilation or life support? its amazing he lived as long as he did!! they know he used it in germany several years before he died!! he was lucky to have lived as long as he did! ive had 5 back surgeries they told me i stopped breathing on my own every time!!! yeah Murry & Michael were idiots for doing it

  • @elasticaddict I'm positive if he used it as much as was claimed he had stopped breathing a lot of times, he may have even been rushed to the emergency room , but was never reported. The plastic surgeons are the ones that got him addicted to this stuff. I would almost bet his plastic surgery addiction was actually an addiction to propfol. Anyone past his 93 rehab stint should have known he was more vulnerable to addiction than the general pop

  • Wow. That was really scary. I just had surgery and I was OUT in like 2 seconds..sure didn't take 10

  • @nannetta Me too! They asked me to count backwards....I got to 9....and then I couldn't talk....

  • Not that Sanjay Fuckta again.

  • @ShoeTossLady

I am sure that they got his permission first.

  • @NeilFraudstrong

There is a big difference between the 2 situations. While this doctor made the procedure to this patient in a hospital under medical supervision Murray did it at home. And it was premeditated too.Even if Michael gave his permission Murray could have refused and say: "Even if you're Michael Jackson and I'm working for you I prefer to be fired but at least you'll stay alive".Murray who supposely is a "doctor"didn't even know how to do proper CPR.No innocence here.PERIOD!

  • @MichaelJacksongenius

I was saying I'm sure that they got the permission of the patient in this video before filming it since it would breach a ton of privacy laws.

  • 0:25 "looks like milk of amnesia they call it".... Who are they? and how does he know what they call it?

Couldn't this have been done in a non live surgical scene. or is it that important to stress the point that its only used in a surgical sense?

  • @TheEpiphan3 Just a correction, it's milk of magnesia, not, "milk of amnesia" though I'm betting the guy who went under would have sexperienced amnesia like symptoms, not remembering going under or what happened 'til he awoke again.

  • @miles2057

Milk of amnesia is a colloquialism for propofol, it's a play on words.

  • @NeilFraudstrong Ah, I see now!

Thanks for clarifying that. So many cock heads here on youtube would have been real cunts in reply to my comment.

You handled it like a "Bawss". Cheers mate, I take my hat off to you.

All the best in your youtube travels,my friend.

  • I had this 5 year ago also because they helpt me with my eyes they where not good...... I know how it feels its not nice....thats why i DON'T belief that michael did it to his self it you can't do it by yourself really

  • The defense is claiming that MJ injected this into himself and killed himself. There is no way he could have injected the amount of propofol which was found in his body tissues in the toxicology report (in the autopsy). He would have fallen asleep before he could get that amount of Propofol into his body. Murray lied when he said he only gave 25 mg of propofol. Murray also didn't have the monitoring equipment like they showed in this CNN video. Take away his license already.

  • Propofol is a good drug and I don't remember feelling any king of stinging.

I remember the injection was clear.I had this sedation during my colonoscopy.

  • @dcareyHQvideos Mike was given TOO MUCH OF IT! That's the point.

  • @dcareyHQvideos You probably had Versed, another excellent powerful sedative often used for GI procedures.

  • @millvalleyrn You maybe right. I have heard that propofol is used on many patients, but I have also read that Fentanyl and Versed are most common. I remember the injection was clear, I never asked what it was. All the Anesthetist told me that it may sting a bit. These new anesthesia drugs are sure better than the ones I have been given in the past for outpatient procedures.

  • I have had it several times for several procedures. It is nice..it does burn though every time but it works quickly..In my opinion Murray was at best an idiot..at worst a murderer..He knew better and there is no way he can justify using that in a home setting.

  • I had never Propofol before. I had gas twice to put me under and clear one not milky.

  • I had it today good shit.

  • @ShoeTossLady .........I just read your post and could not stop laughing. that was so funny!

  • I'm getting this stuff in june. Kinda nervous.

  • if murray was a "good" doctor then he would have known to leave it to the surgeons or keep close watch over him not get up and not care for mega pop who was famous since he was a little kid.i maybe yung but imma BIG fan. he will be missed and its almost 2 years since his death.if he could tell us wat happened, im sure would :)

  • OMG!! they gave me that stuff when I had surgery... and I can tell ya it works super fast.. I dont remember a thing after it got into my blood stream!! That is the first time I saw how I looked when it put me under!! And for the record... i did stop breathing and my heart stopped TWICE!! They were able to resuscitate me... thank God!! Scary stuff!

  • There is more to this story...If the autopsy report we have seen is correct. His bladder was over full of urine and if he woke up for more drugs he would have had to pee. MJ was asleep when the fatal dose was given...Also if MJ was able to sleep the night before without it he did not have a drug tolerance to prevent him from sleeping with the drugs given. Murder all the way and he should be getting more then 4 yrs.

  • did not wash his hands

  • Of course the doctors have NEVER heard of this used in a home. Nobody is rich enough to throw around a million dollar drug with a private Doctor in their home along with their own medical machines. Of course it's not common, Nobody lived like Michael Jackson. They have to understand that.

  • DR. MURRAY, I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THEY THROW YOUR BOOTY IN JAIL!!

  • Take a travel down the "Blindside" with me, this is what I shall receive for my next Open Heat Surgery to Go Under... The always say, better to give than receive. How P.C. is that....

  • @stonegrooved Will never happen. No such laws exist for any drugs.

  • It's pretty simple. He injected the drug to MJ, and left him to die. As we can see on this video, the patient doesn't breathing by himself, doctors keep him breathing. after the propofol was applied. Muray left the room at that time, then called 112 oh he's not breathing, of course he wasn't, because that's how the drug works.

Now to figure out if he killed MJ or not is to find out if MJ asked for the drug or not. In some countries euthanasia is legal, so Murray might never be arrested.

  • @BarbraKing

called 112? what is that for? 911 works for US and 101 for India. :d

  • @ChaudhryTyagi Haha! I thought 112 is US emergency. Maybe it was in some movie or something. Rofl :D

  • @BarbraKing

lol, its ok. i lived in US 6 years and i remember my fingers pushing 911 quite a few times, lol It is a good system though, one number for any emergency. In India, police=100, medical=101, fire=102. and thank ur stars if ur call get spicked up n help actually arrives. sucks big time. How is Polish emergency response in ur view?

love to poland from india :-)

  • @ChaudhryTyagi

sorry for a typo.. it should have been "thank ur stars if ur call gets picked up......" xoxoxox

  • @ChaudhryTyagi It's 997 here, but Polish police sucks like everywhere. Haha!

  • @BarbraKing

lol, anyway a cop in my city was beaten real bad and what i see is evenmore shocking. he is being beaten and he is talking on his walkie talkkie calling for help.some guyz beating him up while cop has a revolver with him. no one touched that! some cops arrived to his call and then drove off. here it is:

tribuneindiaDOTcom/2011/20110414/chdDOThtm just replace "DOT" with a period. :p

  • @stonegrooved I HIGHLY doubt Dipivan will ever become legal to use at home. As you can see from the video, that stuff is very powerful and should be in no way used at home.

  • Does anyone know how much of it is given at the start of surgery? I'm just curious.. I would imagine that he didn't give the patient that whole syringe full all in one shot,

  • @arohn2007 MJ was placed on a slow IV infusion of propofol. The drug can be titrated to effect with small doses producing unconsciousness by not stopping breathing. It is a fine line however, and every patient receiving it even in smaller doses has the potential to stop breathing. The patient in this video received large dose 150-200mg, all at once. The syringe contains 200mg.

  • @medicvideo Thanks for explaining. Why then did Dr. Gershon give the patient so much that he quit breathing? He clearly uses it all the time so I would think it would be better on the patient to keep him breathing even if they've got the ventilator to keep him breathing

  • @arohn2007 The amount of propofol needed to induce general anesthesia also stops breathing. in fact whenever an individual is given general anesthesia regardless of the drugs chosen they stop breathing on their own.

  • @arohn2007 And that is what happened to MJ. He crossed over from the 'heavily sedated' level to the general anesthesia level deep enough to have stopped breathing...it is a very fine line.

  • @medicvideo What gets me is that his doctor should've known that he's taking a BIG risk by injecting Micheal with it and refuse to give it to him no matter what Micheal had said.

  • @arohn2007 You are absolutely correct. And he DID know it. He just did not care. He would rather be paid his ~$26,000.00 per month by MJ then say no and risk being replaced by the next greedy, unethical doc. There is simply NO valid medical reason to do what he did....ever. There is no controversy about this in the medical community..rather it is OBVIOUS to one and all. This is why he is being charged criminally in this death rather than leaving it to a civil court in a malpractice action.

  • Good film. There is a bi difference between being a doctor and being Michael Jackson.... lol. I keep on trusting the doctors:-)

  • Comment removed

  • I had surgery a few years ago when I was in my early 20s...that stuff works FAST! I took 2 deep breaths and that was the last thing I remember after they injected me with that stuff...within 45 seconds they have to intubate you and breathe for you as the muscles of your chest become paralyzed. Why anyone would think this is safe to take at home...insane!

  • @Mobee211 how do u feel afterwards????

  • @Badboykilla96 You feel extremely groggy and out of it. A lopt of people have nausea and dry heaves. Also you tend to get the chills so once they wake you up they wrap you in warm blankets and you have to stay in thepost-op for at least an hour while they monitor all of your vital signs.

  • @Mobee211 Your not that out of it for long, they've got it down so that you're pretty much back to normal shortly after waking up. The guy in this video is probably more out of it at this moment then he was after waking up due to the mild senitive he was given to relax him prior to going into the operating room

  • @Badboykilla96 If you have propofol ALONE, you awaken within 10 minutes of the last dose and within 20-30 minutes feel no adverse effects at all. no sleepiness, no nausea, nothing. Propofol is used as an INDUCTION agent however, initially putting you to sleep. After that other substances (narcotics, various anesthetic gases) are used to keep you asleep. Propofol's shorty duration makes this necessary.

  • who cares, michael jackson was a bum, many many millions in debt, he took more from the world than he gave.

  • @chizzy555 lol you must be kidding. He could have easily paid of the debt by selling his property/assets and stuff or earn that money in no time. He def wasn't broke

  • @chizzy555 been reading tabloids again, have we?

  • @chizzy555 took more from the world than he gave!?!? wtf! He donated over 300million dollars to various charities in his lifetime. so what did he take from the world, im confused..?

  • @chizzy555 In Debt? LMAOOO. MJ was worth a billion even while he was alive. He could've sold a used tissue on ebay and made thousands just right there. He owned all the Beatles catalogs, and THAT alone gave him millions. I'm sorry you are a poor lower-class man who is struggling to pay your bills, but MJ wasn't in debt.

  • sooo what is happening in relation to the court case of michael jacksons doc this has all been quiet for a while

  • People wake up to the lie, Michael pushing the issue to have profopol according to Conrad Murray. That is what Murray says. I do not believe him. He can say what ever he wants happened and the only witness, Michael, is dead and he cannot dispute that. Murray story changes from time to time to whatever suits him. He is a liar.

Conrad Murray should be stripped of his medical license at the least.

  • People wake up to the lie, Michael pushing the issue to have profopol according to Conrad Murray. That is what Murray says. I do not believe him. • 203 mm Hg of systolic pressure on induction-great job guys!!!

  • So what kind of surgery did this gentleman have? I was put under the exact same way for my back surgery. Yikes, I wonder if I stopped breathing too, and had to have that ventilation tube stuck in me also?!

  • @Dimension150 probably

  • Dr. Murray was foolish. He killed Michael Jackson. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. He took Michael away from us :( I hope Murray spends the rest of his life in jail! How is a man who is so negligent and incompetent still able to practice medicine till this day? Ugh!

  • @SnaRF6666666. Who from dumbbazz? From you maybe? Are you a doctor or anaesthesiologist? Judging from you stupid remark, if you were, YOU would have given it to him just for the BIG BUCKS. like Murray did. The QUACK is unscrupulous and GREEDY and he should go DOWN, period.

  • I blame Dr. Murray because he should have said no. Celebrity doesn't mean that you break the law.

  • @garycalgary he would have gotten it regardless.......

  • Michael Jackson was murdered.

  • I would not care to see anyone who I made responsible for my care involved in producing anything that would be viewed on You Tube. I hope their professional as well as private time is put to better use.

  • HOW could MJ die of so little? And how did it not work?

    Something doesn't add up..

Michael must be alive, cause this didn't kill him.

  • you know what is crazy..I'm a street medic for a fire-rescue service, we now carry baxter IV pumps & administer this as part of our RSI sedation. No more etomidate & succs for us...lol

Still dunno how i feel about this,...opinions

  • Just so you all know the ephedrine was only listed as present, no numbers given indicating that there was not enough in the urine to really measure ergo this was most likely not why he could not sleep. And just to correct my other post only ephedrine was found not caffeine so the presence of the pills means nothing, could have been the doctors, since there was no name on bottle.

  • Propofol didn't kill Michael Jackson. Something completely different is going on, but if I say so on here I will get slammed for it.

  • @barnesfam I agree with you also. Another stimulant was found in MJ's urine sample according to the forensic report which is accessible on TMZ. It makes sense that MJ could not sleep, therefore Dr Murray could not send him to sleep due to couteractivity of the two types of drug. What did you think? Tracy

  • @ticlarke Yea, I agree with you, but what do YOU think is going on?

  • @ticlarke The amount of caffeine and ephedrine would not have contributed that much in this case, the amount found indicates that it was taken earlier in the day just like people who get Mcdonalds coffee in the morn. the effects would have worn of by 12mid night and certainly by 6am. I do believe, also the ephedrine could been from the emergency treatment in the er also. but I believe the amount found may have been too little for this also.

  • I recently had an operation too and it feels really weird to have it in your system. I was a real zombie for about a week!

  • Dude..I just had propofol last week, thank God I didn't research about it because if I had found out that it killed Michael Jackson I would have been scared as hell.

  • Comment removed

  • Take it from an anesthesiologist. everything said in this clip from CNN is true. Propofol should only be used by people with the knowledge and equipment to ventilate the patient, so by anesthesiology personel only!!! Asking a cardiologist to administer propofol is like asking a cook to fix your car.... don't do it! In anesthesia we have a saying... Anesthesia is deadly easy, but the patient is easily dead. Why do you think our training takes 6 years medical school and 5 years specialist training

  • The injection this guy got in this video was that a bolus injection? I noticed he stopped breathing as soon has his eyes closed. The coroner said Jackson died because of a bolus injection he received in the leg. If that is true it is horrible to know as soon has he got the propofol he stopped breathing right there and where was Conrad Murray when this was going on

  • Yep... bolus injection indeed. It is possible to just sedate a patient with propofol while preserving normal respiration with much lower doses of propofol than used for general anesthesia. However... during this it is always a possibility that the patient will stop breathing anyway. So all vital signs should be monitered at all times and adequate personel and equipment should be in the direct vicinity of the patient to take over the breathing if nescessary. So you need an anesthesiologist!!!

  • Thank you

  • Michael is to intelligent for that !!!

No way , he would never let any doctor inject this into his body knowing that all these life important equipment aren't prepared to control this! Sorry, I say NO way!!! Michael is not stupid, he is a very intelligent man. I don't know what happend, but I'm sure it's not this scenario !!! Love you Michael !!!

  • @Stolz20 Michael is most likely alive :D Follow TMZ, they know too much. Join some forums ;) We BeLIEve.

  • @rOlfFafaN Michael Jackson is not alive. He would NEVER fake his own death.

  • @FanFicCritic blablalbal.. I don't think MJ is stupid, and let his life just get controlled. You better get facts stright, before saying anything. Don't blame MJ for faking his death.. Blame the people who wants him, no matter what.. Not our business.

  • emty oxgen tank was found in mj house and as you can see this man could not be left alone in the room, it to me sound more and more that mj was killed on purpose, what is maybe two years in prison , knowing that when you get out you will have plenty of money

  • MJ's doctor gave it to him to "help him sleep" . Propofol is perfectly safe if its used by a competent medical practitioner with adequate knowledge of the drug, We use it to do RSI's all the time. However, MJ's Doctor Conrad. Used it as a sleeping aid and did not appreciate the fact that its a very powerful anaethsetic and not just a drug to "help you sleep". A patient who has been given ANY dose of Propofol or Etomidate MUST be observed until they are awake . MJ's doctor did not do this.

  • That scares the life out of me thank god i've never had to have an operation.

  • You really have no idea just how safe going under anaesthesia really is. In the CEPOD study, out of half a million cases, only 3 cases of death were due directly to the anaesthesia and even the 0.08% where anaesthesia was a contributing factor, human error was the predominant factor. All in all, its amazingly safe. If you're young and healthy you really have nothing to worry about. Its only the elderly and those with other coniditions that have slightly increased risk, but even thats small.

  • @WonkyDoodle Thanks for replying to me. I was ment to have an operation on my nose but not no more I lost alot of weight to give myself a better chance. I ended up not needing it lol hey i'm now 3 stone lighter lol.

  • @ilovehandbags06 bet that was a big relief!!!!!

  • @19becca74 Yeah to right I am.

  • Dont be freaked out.....you wil be fine! I watched 10 procedures recently where it was used and EVERYONE tolerated it well, including lil old ladies...........! So I hope everything goes well and im sure you will be fine

  • I am having surgery with this Monday--totally freaked out!

  • Holy shit i didnt know they stuck a tube down my throat! :\

  • All of this propofol use on Michael sounds absurd because this whole thing is a hoax. At least that's what me and fellow hoaxers are hoping. Don't bash me, just look up some hoax sites and see all the clues and other absurdities in this case for yourselves.

  • @78Alecram Totally agree!

  • The doctor told him he should feel a little burning, bull that shit felt like fire when I had my operation! When I woke up I felt like shit too, I was dizzy until the next day. What happened to the old stuff they used to use? Y would Michael ever mess with this stuff, this stuff is no joke. After going thru the experience of how this stuff works, no sir, I hope to never again have to have another operation with that stuff, propofol is scary.

  • nicole and havepeace-both are wrong. CRNA's often administer general anesthesia (which I don't thisk is safe, but that's my opinion-get an anesthesiologist) and propofol can be titrated from light sedation to general anesthesia depending on the dose. The anesthesia profession sometimes abuses propofol as a recreational drug; that's unsafe

  • @remvssf223

Did you know that more than 60% of ALL anesthetics are administered by CRNAs with no anesthesiologist present? I practice completely independent of anyone in a rural setting with no back up within 50 miles.........

  • @sendittobryce

    You lie.

  • Nicole32....

    diprivan/propofol IS general anesthesia.

  • if you get propofol, make sure that you have an anesthesiologist (MD) administer it. This drug isn't something that should be administered by a nurse (CRNA)......if something goes wrong, you really want an anesthesiologist present, not a nurse

  • Goex2f....that is not true CRNA's use it all of the time in endoscopy suites for colonoscopies and they are licensed to use it. General anesthesia is the one that should only be administered by an anesthesiologist.

  • nicole-I said it "should" be administered by anesthesiolosists, not CRNA's. In some states it's even administered by non-CRNA nurses (NAPS) and this is even more scary.

  • goex2f...it depends on the level of sedation that is required and the procedure. You may or may not know this but propofol is also used to sedate psychiatric patients and/or patients with respiratory distress, i.e. on a ventilator. In this clip it is given as a drip...but it can also be given as a bolus. Obviously Michael had it as a drip, and -- well -- what can I say? Other than he was incredibly trusting and naive to have it done at his house and a cardiologist.

  • The point is every one reacts differently to anaesthesia therefore I agree with you regardless of the type or amount given it should be administered by a professional anaesthesist at all times

  • Was it Propofol? Or another drug?

It was a long procedure till he was in hospital ...

  • My anesthesiologist said that an alarming number of people with access to propofol (MD's and CRNA's) self-administer it...which is really dangerous. She said that one person was nodding off during the anesthesia cases that he was supposed to be monitoring. Just when I was gaining some confidence in receiving anesthesia, I'm scared shitless again. I guess that their is always a bullet to bite on.

  • I wonder why anyone would "enjoy" the effects of propofol. I recently had drug-free endoscopy (you may not want to try this) done and the anesthesiologist mentioned that my upcoming hand surgery might be easier with a little propofol rather than drug-free as I had requested. So after the endoscopy, I agreed to try it: 10, 15 up to 45mg IV push. I hate sedation, but if you have to have sedation, propofol is the best of a bad class of drugs. But a recreational drug? I'm confused.

  • i think that dr. mury killed him but i'm not sure i think he killed him 1st y did he make 3 calls before 911 yyyy wt i mean is he have an uncunshios guy who is dying he make 3 phone calls !!!!!!!! NOW THAT'S JUST SICK

  • Dr Murray knew he was dead and didnt know what to do.He knew it was going to be a huge situation and he knew he gave him the drug that killed him.He freaked out! I'm sure he knows there are crazy fans out there that would kill him at the very least his career is over and likely will go to jail.he was probably thinking about running, getting rid of evidence in the house and at his offices and paperwork at offices. The list could go on. he knew Michael was dead.Worrying about himself at that point!

  • I think he just shat his pants because he knew he's dead and it'd be treated as a homicide... That's why he called his lawyer.

  • Michael Jackson was murderd. Te Doctor was hired by AEG. they were paying him $150,000 a month. AEG also had an insurance policy that specifically listed DRUG OVER DOSE! Yet the Media says NOTHING about this. Also keep an eye on John Branca who Jackson fired now controls the fortune with a forged 7 year old will.

    It was murder.

Also this is the choice drug of assassins.

  • well if it was murder, only Michael can be blamed for putting himself in the unique position to be easily murdered and to make it look as though his addiction to anesthesia caught up to him. Why Michael thought a cardiologist should give him propofol.....well...thats an addict for you.Dr Murray just wanted his 150,000.00 pay check every month! he would have given Michael daily blow jobs! Obviously people do crazy things for money! Just my two cents on the whole shame.

  • YOur fucking funny dude

  • I agree and disagree with you. First of all Murray and Michael are the both to blame for this. But Michael has paid the price for his mistake. Conrad Murray gets most of the blame because he is a doctor he should know better. If you are going to play around with this stuff at the very least have the tools on hand like ventilator a EKG machine. Those things would sounded an alarm to tell him Michael's breathing was slowing down get some oxygen. An Michael's addiction did not kill him

  • In a way I sort of feel bad for Dr. Murray because if it wasn't him then it would have just been someone else. Michael was going to get it from someone, but it was just a matter of who.

  • There is no way I feel bad for him. He could have said no Michael I am not doing that. If Michael would have gotten it from someone else it would have been that doctor's problem. Now it is Murray's problem

  • I agree with you, but I feel as if my point got mistaken. I think if he had any medical ethics at all whatsoever then he should have said, "Michael, this is lethal stuff. I just can't do this for you. The other stuff, [anxiety meds, Demerol], I can maybe do, but not this." But it was going to happen to someone. It's the nature of being a celebrity doctor. So I feel bad for him in that aspect since Michael really pushed the issue on that, but I don't feel bad for the consequences he will see

  • Michael could have pushed the issue all he wanted. The issue for me is you are a doctor you know better. And I don't care how much Michael asked tell him no and he would have found another doctor. But, Conrad Murray saw dollar signs. Blame on both ends on Michael's part but Michael has paid with his life for his mistake. Now Conrad Murray will pay for his mistake

  • Its been said that Dr. Murray was actually trying to wean michael from the drug, this is considered medically appropriate actually. His lack of monitoring equipment is not. The weaning idea is further demonstrated by the existence of ativan in his system.

  • Michael Jackson was using Propofol to sleep when being used that way you can't get addicted to it. The only addiction to Propofol works by shooting yourself with it passing out waking up shooting yourself with it passing out waking up doing it again. A person who gets addicted to it will inject themselves with it over and over again at least one hundred times a day. And, you do not "ween" anyone from a non addictive drug by using very addictive drugs like ativain to do it.

  • Provide legitimate medical literature stating that one needs to inject themselves at least 100 times per day to be considered addicted. There are so many things wrong with your statement, first being that 100 iv punctures in a day or even a couple days would cause severe venous collapse. Second, there is no medical indication for using propofol for insomnia, therefore Michaels demands for the drug could be considered aberrant behavior or drug seeking, indicating that he was dependent on the drug

  • The people that get addicted to propofol would be someone that has access to it like a doctor or a nurse. The high from Propofol comes from waking up from it. People who are put under for periods of time when they wake up have no idea what happened that is why they call it milk of amnesia. Google it. And a drug addict who is given those drugs like methadone to get off heroin I can all but assure you that the person who gives it does not mix sedatives the way Murray did that night

  • Not true, benzodiazepines are commonly mixed with buprenorphine or methadone in order to aid with anxiety and sleep for withdrawing addicts.

  • So it is totally normal to give someone benzodiazepines one right after the other the way Murray did? Don't forget it was drug after drug until he gave the Propofol. And not by mouth but through an IV and I don't care if Michael was asking for it as a doctor Murray should have said no Michael this could kill you. But he did not

  • It is physically impossible to get addicted to propofol.... therefore no need to "wean" someone off it.

    The whole thing is ridiculous

  • Furthermore, being that there are more than 10 studies on the addictive nature of propofol(which have confirmed, that yes it is reinforcing) weaning someone from one substance to another is common, ex heroin to methadone or buprenorphine.

  • if he was trying to wean off it then why did he give to him in the first place? He knows how dangerous propofol is so even why bother with given to him? Is money that important to him? If the people who worked around him and gotten him the help he needed then none this would have happen. We won't be mourning his death. Conrad Murray should have known better. I hope he either get arrested or lose his license. R.I.P. Michael Jackson the King of Pop!!!! 1958-2009

  • @KK872 I agree completely. That is what I told a few people that if you are a doctor caring for people, it does not matter how much Money he can gain by giving and administering propofol to anyone, Murray has to be responsible for what he did.

  • @Sophiazewdu

Absolutely!! You become a doctor because you want to help and heal people, not to make money. Michael may have asked for the drug, but what gave Murray the right to administer it? He should not be able to practice medicine.

  • @KK872 I totally agree. No matter how often Micheal asked for it, the doctor should've known it was a very bad idea to give it to him outside of a hospital setting and how deadly it is when given improperly. He knew there was a strong likelyhood micheal would die after he was given the medication but he injected him with it anyway. He should be put away for LIFE and his medical license revoked

  • @KK872

'ageed with u brother. money entices and maybe that is what happened that day in MJ's home. I feel so sick thinking how MJ was depressed so many years. Money could not buy happiness.

    Love you MJ from India.

  • To correct some misconceptions: it seems like a lot of people think that someone tried to kill Michael Jackson. First off, I work in this hospital with those people. The doctor who prescribed the medicine was not licensed to do so (he was NOT an anesthesiologist, he was a cardiologist...meaning he's a heart doctor, not a doctor who works with pain/sleep meds). Also, morphine, dilaudid, and all the other "downers"everyone uses will do the same thing as propofol. So stop abusing drugs, kids.

  • the doctor knew he wuznt supposed to leave jackson alone with proprofol

  • I just cannot believe HOW does a doctor did this to Michael....

It´s so scary, I mean he wanted to get some sleep and this is like going through hell to get there...

Oh dear Michael, I can only hope that you had beautiful and happy dreams and that God gave you the wellcome you deserve.

You are my angel now, for wherever I am, wherever I go, you are ALWAYS in my mind and heart.

I´ve been to the beach alone these days and I feel you with me all the time.

Alone but at the same time special.

  • On Lisa Marie Presley's myspace, under blog, post titled He Knew, she talks about a conversation she had with MJ concerning how he felt what might happen to him. Sad.

  • PROPOFOL didnt kill Michael Jackson it allowed his killers to slowly keep him alive by recesitating him over and over for hours while Injecting him with other drugs, Michael was killed by injections of Pain Meds not Popofol.

  • My question is not whether it is advised or not but whether you can physically do it or not. I am just trying to figure out whether MJ could have done it himself or definitely needed a doctor to administer it.

  • You could technically tie off your vein, inject it, untie and let it rush to your brain but that's not safe. That'd be about the only way though. Otherwise you'd probably fall asleep with about half of it pushed and wake up 5 min later since you didn't get enough.

  • A question: would it be possible to administer it yourself, without any outside help?

  • because you stop breathing and someone needs to resuscitate you, it probably is not advised.

  • i don't know cause it knoecks u out within seconds so u'd probably fall asleep before u take the neddle out.
