if you are a follower of barcelona and messi, probably you should have noticed by now that messi is truly a team player. even though he is without a doubt the best player, the best dribbler of his generation, he cannot win matches alone. he needs his teammates to be able to play with him, to understand his game. in barcelona, he has the whole team to do just that. but definitely not in argentina national squad. it's a shame because we all know how good he is and what he is capable of.

Ronaldo is way better than messi on any given day! Messi might be a magician when ball comes to his feet but its just the same old style he has(though it is extremely succesful) but if u look at ronaldo, hes a more complete player. He can play on wings, he can be a attacking midfielder, a lone striker, supporting striker. plus hes so good in air, he can unleash a 40 yarder into the back of the net anytime he wants(which messi can only dream of!). He was average at WBremen, but shined in the WC with Germany (a top team). Then he came to RMadrid and shined (another top team). Same for Podolski who is average for club but pivotal to Germany. Look at CR7. he did great at ManU, Real Madrid, and the 06 Portugal team (with Figo). These were all top class teams. When you people say that messi is the best player in the history and somebody says " oh but he does nothing at argentina " and then you reply with, oooooh but even a genius can`t do everything alone bla bla then it means he is just a good player not the BEST, the best was zidane, the best was ronaldinho, the best was maradona, not a guy who is dependent of other players to succed. It is clear that Messi can play Xavi's role at Barça if it was asked of him. And he can play Iniesta's role with even more ease. The question is can Xavi play Messi's role at the same level of success as Messi ?and can Iniesta play Messi's role as good as him?
