Personally, I think the people have lost all manner of power to influence what goes on in Washington and lost it in the 2000 election. They don't care about our votes, the machines are rigged. The only way to make Washington and Corp America take notice is hit them with a stop shopping day..or a no shopping/ no work day, across the nation, all on the same day. Other wise we are at the mercy of lobbyist and big corp.

There is no form of socialized health care being passed...And even if there was. Our socialized health care in Canada is the most expensive out of all socialized programs and we still spend a third less than Americans. So your information there is bad. This "reform" is all about Privatizing Medicare and other Federal funded health care programs. They are passing the expense of these programs, the long term expense off on to the people of the US, just like Bush wanted to do. There is no difference in the base philosophy of the two parties.

I have health Insurance through my employer and its not worh a darn. I have a high five thousand dollar bridge before my insurance pays a dine. This may be fine for someone that is perfectly healthy, but those that have illnesses or even conditions are ran into the poor house!

Once everyone is compelled to enter into a HealthCareDataBase the next step will be the retrieval of the DNA for each entrant. At that point our health, biology & finances will all be assayed. There will be no more anonymity & next our freedoms of speech will be tied to our limited by the HCDB.
