They remade the game for the xBox360/PS3/PC in 2008, and a sequal came out a week ago in 3D.

must look it up. just thought that the game would have lost its way after all these yrs. was sure it would be far too complex. am not a major fan of new style games and if i was to pick out a new console, i think i'd go for the wii, looks a lot more fun and a lot less serious than the ps3 or xbox360. dont have much time for gaming anymore though but the wee one wanted a computer so i said fuck it, get a nes and relive the good 'ol days.

They made the remake to add some hype for the 3D game and for the love of the original game, the remake outsold the 3D game by far.
