The Lock Loops turned out so, so nice. I order two bags of Lock Loops to see how it will do on my dread locks, so stay tune I will let you know how the end results.

Ebony, glad to see you again ( i saw you on another vid and heard you call your name) you are the same height as me that is soooo cool ! anyway, i have bought rollers but i havnt tried them as yet.however, i tried a new style recently,which is penning my hair up at the back and one side then allowing my hair to drop at the other i really liked the look and i got some nice comments about it as well. of course the back is not as straight but hey, at least i saved some money no hairdresser .

To start them is was $500 and to maintain them it was $20 an hour it take 5 hours on my hair and I get it done every 4 weeks. I didn't notice much shrinkage and I was told that is because I did a lot of styling to my hair. When I first got loc I maintained my own hair between locing sessions. I know loc my own hair at home and it takes me a few day to complete. I start in the back and work my way up
the cost to install your locks was expensive, at least when i do the conversion to my currency. how long was your hair when you locked ? maybe that was the reason for the cost. my hair was 4 inches long and i only paid $250 US(my dollar is pegged 2-1 with the US $) also, to relock, i only pay $ 40US. I dont think i have the patience to learn to relock my hair since that (lack of patience) is the expressed reason why i decided to go with sl's in the first instance. i applaud you.
my hair was about 4 inches of unpermed and then about 10 inch of permed hair. I think the cost was high because of how small and how much hair I have. I need to get my hair done where you get yours
a hair technician by the name of A. FORTE in Bardados does my hair. you will find her info on the sisterlocks webpage (very pleasant lady). how many locks do you have ? in order to have reduced the cost to you, i think your technician could have suggested that you 'cut' (yes cut) your hair down to the new growth/virgin hair (that's what we call your unpermed). what do you think about that idea? of course it's too late for you but maybe it could help others. just a thought : )

The only way to explain the price from what I learned at my SL class is that I have a lot of hair in one hair follicle. Most people may only have one hair per follicle I may have 5 hair per follicle. So with all that said I have big hair always with locks or not. This is the way they explained it to me.
but if your lock tech did not charge you for the relaxed hair, in my opinion,whether you have 1 or 5 hairs per follicle, the cost that was charged is still extremely high !
i was told that it's the LENGTH of the hair not the amount of hair FOLLICLES, then the cost WOULD ALWAYS BE HIGH TO YOU ! i dont think it's fair to charge someone for something that NATURE has blessed them with. if that was the charge in Barbados our technicians would not have a BUSINESS...PERIOD .
Did you end up needing both bags after all or can you get away with just one?
