  • You're right. I find the ignorance of the Hagee-McCain association to be incredibly telling in light of the Wright-Obama over-exposure. The things that Hagee has said about New Orleans, Israel and the Catholic Church are *at least* as hateful and immoral as what Wright has said. And at least Obama has finally disassociated himself with Wright, given Wright's continued hate speech. I think Obama did right by Wright giving him a second chance - and he did right in refusing a third chance.

  • Do you think that people are simply summed up by whom they associate with? I'm imperfect. My family and friends are imperfect. Even my mentors and those that I admire are imperfect. I have frequently chosen to disassociate myself from the emotional speech of my friends and family members while still choosing to love them as humans. It's part of what love is. It's how I continue to love my country even though I hate what it has done in the last few years under the current administration.

  • Obama is pissed at Rev Wright and throwing him under the bus now! Obama is like a drowning rat desperately grasping at straws to save his ass. Well I think the inexperienced senator learned alot from running for President. It does not surprise me that one of his own took him down. Just like the way blacks kill blacks. So sad the way they try to tear down the ones that get ahead. And Hello Mrs. President!

  • Wow... racist much?

If Hillary gets the nomination, I'm voting for McCain - as are a lot of my independent friends. I've realized that she embodies just about the sleaziest, skeeviest things that politics has to offer. I don't want a person with a weak moral compass, intentionally trapped in a marriage of convenience to be in my White House. Give me the 5-year POW who knows exactly why it's wrong for the U.S. to torture over the lady who'll stop at nothing to climb her way to the top.

  • bitterfly, its not racist that black people kill each other more than white people kill blacks. Those are crime stats. Also Rev Wright wont be able to harp on racism anymore if Obama makes president. But alot of black people will turn on him anyway, because I have witnessed Obama talking about personal responsibility and that is a message alot of Rev Wright supporters dont want to listen to. Where are the sermons of Rev Wright talking about accountability?

  • The racist aspect of what you said was that "one of his own took him down. Just like the way blacks kill blacks." First of all, it's entirely debatable whether or not Rev. Wright "took him down." Secondly, the statement of "just like the way blacks kill blacks" was unnecessary and irrelevant. Sure, blacks kill blacks. What does that have to do with the scuffle between Rev. Wright and Sen. Obama? Nothing.

  • Would you say, "it's awful how Karl Rove and Bush tore down McCain in 2000. Just like whites kill whites"? It would be just as absurd if you did say that. You only added that "just like blacks kill blacks" blurb because you've got some idea about black people as a whole. That's also evident in your presumption that Rev Wright supporters and black people in general (which are not a monolithic group, fyi) don't want to hear about personal responsibility- a baseless and racist assumption.

  • john, I should have said "Im not stupid like alot of people who just listen to Obama's words I judge him by who he associates with" Birds of feather flock together. I brought up Wright becauase Obama's association with Wright as his mentor speaks volumes more than any speeches Obama has made. Obama has a believe what I say not what I do message.

  • Wow... your words precisely embody what is terribly wrong with this country. May God have mercy on your soul, and may the intelligent electorate of this country realize how your words represent the hate and divisiveness once only ascribed to Satan, Himself.

  • HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! How did you even catch that?

  • too much grits
