we do a daily CD exchange in my jazz band. we have to pass around jazz CDs. i passed around this album, and my teacher just glared at me for a while. i told him "hell, its metal jazz opera stuff. its got jazz in it!"

@whoracle3 I had the same initial reaction, thinking of Mexico, but that's because I live in the US. Once I found out they were European in made a lot more sense that the influence came from Spain instead though.

However I've also found that this band is a lot more popular in Mexico than any other country in North America. That kind of annoys me only insomuch that the US has more people and this country is retarded listening to hiphop'n'pop. (I can say that because I'm American haha)

@mane99 The world in general? never. A substantial part of it? Certainly. A lot of music WAY stranger and 'out there' than this (amongst it some that is, in my own opinion, more brilliant as well, but that is for others to decide for themselves) has more listeners than you would think. Mediocre music will always be way more popular than music full of soul and fire. Most people need 'easy listening'. Music that makes you THINK? preposterous! But hey, be glad you can at least appreciate it ^^

They actually have, but not in all the songs, try Zodiac Virtues or Balrog Boogie there are clean male vocals and also a strange growl not common at all...
