It's funny how the pokemon Farfetch'd is less far fetched than most pokemon after the second generation. I thought the second gen was still okay, it had a bit more of an exotic feel to it, but it blended well enough imo. But from the 3rd generation onwards it just became completely uninspired imo. And I don't even want to talk about the clownmon that came after that.
I wish they did a new Kanto-series. The first 150 pokemon mainly but with a totally different trainer who had different pokemon.

and to the people below, all of the seris' are great. I'm not fond of the newest one, but the animation has gotton so much better, as have the battles. The reason ash is weak is because the anime targets kids primarily and we all know kids are pretty newbie when they first start. The would be too overwhelmed with dreams if ask had a mewtwo or a dragonite with him. Besides where have you ever seen a kid know how to make their pikachu evolve without an older sibling telling them.
When Ash battled team rocket for the earth badge, kingler had a attack that was never heard of again in the anime, nor videogame. It wasn't protect kingler used, jesse called it something else. Also this was before the second generation, and before the attack protect came out. I always wondered what that attack was, since I was 11, and i'm 21 now.
great video!!! I love the old episodes. The only thing that I don't like is how pikachu kills geodude, onix and rhydon w/ electric moves and how half of the badges were given to ash without him winning the match.. the cartoon shouldn't have done that.
He also hits Rhydon. Twice I believe. And his Charmander somehow got killed by a Stun Spore (iirc). It's Pokemon logic. Raichu would destroy Pikachu, and in one of the gen3 episodes Ash hits Swellow with TShock and uses it as armor. It's a cartoon, why does Spongebob always wear the same pants?
In Sinnoh and Unova Pikachu gets its tail kicked alot. If Pikachu is the ONLY Pokémon that's been with Ash since his battles in those regions,it should be close to completely undefeatable.Why does Pikachu keep having to be pushed to its limits? @arazikaya Actually, he won as Haunter made Sabrina laugh uncontrollably, thus rendering Kadabra (who had a spiritual bond with Sabrina) unable to fight as it was laughing uncontrollably too so Sabrina's evil and good spirits merged and she 'technically' forfeited the match.
The old days were Ash lucked into alot of victories and show how much of a new trainer he was, I like how he started out. But now days he gets beat by rookie trainers and Pikachu is only powerful when he needs Pikachu to be powerful. I mean with Pikachu on his team he should never lose a battle. Pikachu should be on level 10,000 by now.
Does anyone else notice how the anime seems to make up it's OWN rules? An electric attack usually dosen't affect ground types, but Geodude and Rhydon were zapped by Pikachu's bolts.

@RevePaul15 i mean at the very beginning and they usually capture powerful pokemon at the beginning but now they just catch whatever as for the adobe flash player well youtube updates every now and then so does the video plugins so you have update your flash player and if want to continue you have to update it yeah i had to update to it gets annoying but after you update/download you have to shut down the computer or restart the computer it takes awhile but it lasts for about a year hope it help

He won a lot of his battles by luck here.After Indigo it starts to be skill.His skill goes up and up and I am here expecting an epic battler and he is acting like a newbie wtf can someone explain how that is possible.

@arazikaya Actually, he won as Haunter made Sabrina laugh uncontrollably, thus rendering Kadabra (who had a spiritual bond with Sabrina) unable to fight as it was laughing uncontrollably too so Sabrina's evil and good spirits merged and she 'technically' forfeited the match.

The old days were Ash lucked into alot of victories and show how much of a new trainer he was, I like how he started out. But now days he gets beat by rookie trainers and Pikachu is only powerful when he needs Pikachu to be powerful. I mean with Pikachu on his team he should never lose a battle. Pikachu should be on level 10,000 by now.

Does anyone else notice how the anime seems to make up it's OWN rules? An electric attack usually dosen't affect ground types, but Geodude and Rhydon were zapped by Pikachu's bolts.

@RevePaul15 i mean at the very beginning and they usually capture powerful pokemon at the beginning but now they just catch whatever as for the adobe flash player well youtube updates every now and then so does the video plugins so you have update your flash player and if want to continue you have to update it yeah i had to update to it gets annoying but after you update/download you have to shut down the computer or restart the computer it takes awhile but it lasts for about a year hope it help

@mrbattlistkingdom Aren't you forgetting in the episode when Ash fights Brock he gives Pikachu loads and loads of electricity too much to be honest. So pikachu won because of that.

@mrbattlistkingdom yeah just like how pikachu and swellow were getting the crap beat out of and was able too take a massive lightning attack and conserve it enough to be cover themselves in that lightning for shields which makes ash abusive because swellow could have had serious damage and need medical help. but no they writers said let create plot that allows ash to win over a fair and square lose
