A copy of the amendment, as required by law, was not available in the House Chamber. During Mr. Barton's questioning the 300 pages showed up, but they were not yet ,inserted in the 1000+ page document. The 300 page amendment would only make sense (and I use the word 'sense' loosely) if the individual pages were inserted into the appropriate places in the document.
Sad and true. We have truth on our side, and must use it to warn our neighbors. As long as our neighbors do not feel we are attacking them personally, they can be persuaded.
A valiant effort on the part of those few congressmen-women, but the real power still lies in the will of the people. Are enough of us willing? I hope so.
