even the innkeeper's obnoxious wailing didn't spoil Vitaly's wonderful performance! in fact, it's kind of a nice contrast between his grand annoying speech and Watson's quiet crying. either way,soooo heartbreaking. better than Granada's Watson, imho.

especially that tear falling onto the note. oh gosh...</3 :'(

6:40 The tear on the paper puts Russian Watson leagues above David Burke's 'Final Problem' breakdown. They're both done so well that it tears at the heartstrings every time.

While I love the Granada Sherlock Holmes, there is so much to be said for this version. I'm so happy these subtitled movies are available!
