I am inclined to think that, that was a mistake on the part of Les Gray (G.R.H.S.) and his colleagues. Having said that, the glam rock era was over well before 1979, and therefore it is by no means certain that Mud

Showaddywaddy would have been well capable of making an excellent version of this song, back in 1979. The same is true of Mud - the excellent glam rock group from Carlshalton, near London. That said, Mud were no longer a successful group - in commercial terms - by 1979 ...... and if they HAD recorded the song "Song Girls",
