@urbanovibe: Hi, the cadencing is done by the distance of the little things on the black belt,which push the cabine in the stations. It is necessary, that the belts turn with very constant speed. This is done by using the Faller Synchron-Motors, and choosing the right gear very exactly. The rope is driven by the same kind of engine and also with a very defined speed- so the "knot"(there is no knot, but the two ends are glued together) of the rope is always in between 2 cabins.
