The suffering of animals is much more intense than we will ever realize as it is all done behind closed doors to an unsuspecting public. Scientists have gone so far as to remove the voice boxes of helpless animals to silence their cries of pain and to alleviate their guilt over the suffering of animals.
Honestly there is no reason for animal testing. If scientists put more energy into developing alternatives (that are far more effective anyways) we'd be in a much better place. Obviously I don't wish any harm on human or animal and it is vital that we figure out how to cure illnesses. But illnesses that are related to PEOPLE not ANIMALS!

Whatever your standing on the ethics behind the action of animal testing, Nicky simply ignores all of Simon's points which clearly show successful application of the use of animals (IT COMES FROM MICE!), regardless whether that use is ethical or not, & even more ridiculously, she offers no solution.

If everyone lived to be a 150 years old the world would go to shit fast. An extra three billion people on this planet would put so much stress on the earth. Think about it how would we feed them how would they get shelter. We couldn't and millions if not billions of people would starve and diseases would be out of control. So quit trying to find cures for everything when its your turn to go just go that's the way it is suppose to be.
@speakingofresearch yes i agree, if an animal had to die to cure somthing like cancer, morally it is right for most people, but and if it were a person who had to die, would it be the same. now factor in the pain they have to endure, and what if you were selected. perhaps festing has more knowledge in science, but nicky gordon is has more morals.
