I still dont see why you have to hit him. I was always told you shouldnt ever strike a dog if he will become shy. I am not a dog trainer but do work around dogs 40 hours a week as a Vet Tech. I have a rottie and would never lay a hand on him. He is a beautiful rottie though.

I love how he stays right next to his owner's left leg no matter where the owner turns the dog is right there. That is really awesome. I dont understand the purpose of the stick and hitting him with it. I have watched dogs being trained for police work and I have never seen any trainer use a stick or strike the dog! That concerned me but he is an awesome rottie and very obedient.

Mine has his tail because the breeder waited too long and the vet said it would be too painful and cruel. I do notice that he wags hi tail when he is trying to attack. you should never think a wagging tail means "nice doggy"

The reason the dog is wagging his tail is more probably because he is happy/excited because he is well trained in what he is doing. He is attacking from anger/torment, he's attacking from training - there's a difference.

Tonyzz3-I had one that lived till she was 10 and know of ones that did live longer! i think it depends on the dogs health! My dog had to be put odwn due to ill health from being abused as a pup(b4 she came to me) she probaly would of lived longer if it wasn't for her previous owners! Xxx

tosa inu is breed to only, fight they are dangerous animals, it has not been the companion and guard dog of man since roman times (thats over 2000yrs). the tosa and dobbermans are manufactured to do a job that the rottie does naturally, both have blood lines from the rottie but cannot come close, dobbermans go crazy with their silly little heads,the tosa is breed so people can gamble. if i see a tosa, i'm getting my shotgun...
