  • We need more cow bell.

  • Hello, I'm 23, and music such as this is totally kickass compared to what the 00s were churning out.

  • For those who doesn't know:

most of 808 State songs were riped off from Justin Bieber,

"Olympic" is actually "Common Denominator" by Justin Bieber,

If you don't believe me, you don't really know about music.

Please thumbs up so people can see and stop listen unoriginal crap like 808 State.

  • @ThumbsUpIn2011 Excuses!!! Just listen to the music.

  • OMG I remember this in Manhattans in Redcar in 1990 mint tune getting trollied on Red Stripe. happy days

  • Fuck 2012

  • @destructivedandy Fuck my 4 years in high school with Bush as Prez. Great music was way back when I was a kid. Wish my parents or siblings were into stuff from the late 80s - early 90s. Oh well, better I ran into geeks who showed me the way to quality music. ;-)

  • Anyone know? Which of the guys in the vid are the front man (men) for the band.

This song definately fits the bill for my "Ahead of it's time electro" playlist!!

  • @777pusher Avant-Garde Electro?

  • Funny everytime i listen to this song I get a feeling of sadness for some reason. This is ht elast song on the album so it sounds like they're wraping ex:el up. And its the last album with Martin Price.

  • love this video !!!!

  • Carajo que buena musica , trae recuerdos muy duramente felices, Manchester quemaba mis manos con hielo, 808 state que buenos eran, el video de olimpic es muy muy de ese tiempo, chido!

  • Man I was born to late. Man if I was 16 in the early 90's I would'ev gone to see them.

  • @aquamarinedream they r stil playin i saw couple o years back fuckin mint

  • @Jmagok

I need to see them now. I always liked this songs position on the album. It sounds like then ending song of the album but has a feeling that says "Goodbye for now but we'll be back very soon."

  • @aquamarinedream Haha!!! I feel the same way, my generation is too lame nowadays or have been since inception.

  • Quality.

  • He was called Eric 'the man with the fan' famous for his 'fan dance' in the 'in yer face' vid...

  • saw these guys live when Norwich`s Waterfront Venue opened for the first time, what a night - even the walls were sweating !!

  • @ArmouredCharmer1 Had a friend who was at that night, did you know that the Waterfront was designed by the same guy who designed the Hacienda?

  • @swisstony123 .Really ! - That`s probably why it`s still classed as one of the best live venues in the UK.I hav`nt had the chance to go recently - the SWMBO does`nt trust me to go out on my own !!

  • My wife is 8 months pregnant, i have been playing this, along with Lift, to our bump for over 5 months, every day,, you can never start them off to young can you,,,, gotta love 808 state god bless them, was gonna call the kid Massey, but the wife gave me the evil eye when i suggested it.

  • Call it Gerald

  • @71dubfreak the kids gonna come out with his hands up in the air : )

  • @71dubfreak Good onya! "Lift" is a beautiful piece of work. Your baby had a great start in life. This sounded fantastic in 1990 and still does now. What blows me away every time I hear 808 State now is the strength and longevity of the emotional memories I have intertwined in the music. If I hear 808 State I smile. Guaranteed. it's not always easy predicting which music from any particular time will last, but from first hearing these guys I suspected theirs would: I'm so stoked that it has.

  • @71dubfreak - So, did the baby come out with hands up in the air??

  • @777pusher Quality mate, made me laugh that !

  • Just think, Kraftwerk could have looked like this if they'd have mercilessly bullied at school.

  • all this time I thought 808 state was somehow a tribute to Hawaii, sigh

  • To think this could of been the music 4 the manchester olympics halycon days indeed, keep the spirit alive.

  • so innovative for that time

  • Classic stuff this, loving some of the stuff on the keyboard and the instrumental.

  • Probably the greatest 808 track ever made, well along side 'Cobra Bora' and 'In Yer Face'!
