  • wtf foratv is paid now.. thats fucked up!

  • Amazing, his first statement is the telephone should have been invented second and that the iPad should have been invented first. Steve Jobs did invent the iPad first, he just changed the development course once he realized that they could make the touch screen device work in a palm sized device.

  • my god.. he's right

  • The iPad 2 has facetime. Your argument is invalid.

  • The iPad is about information at your fingertips. I think they're missing the point here. And as for the newspaper, I believe an LCA analysis over time would show that the impacts of an iPad versus the daily needs of a paper (i.e. clear-cutting of forests, removing habitat, using toxic inks, and then dumping much of that in a dump, and recycling only some, creating recycled paper littered with BPA, etc.) are laughable. The phone can't give you video; they're making many one-dimensional arguments

  • i dont won apple products except for an ipod.

but this talk make no sense at all.

  • "If your philosophy of [scientific] history claims that the sequence should have been A→B→C, and it is C→A→B, then your philosophy of history is wrong. You have to take the data of history seriously."

    John S. Wilkins

  • To be honest though, tablets are the future of computing. Computers are getting smaller and more powerful. Imagine in the near future when you have your tablet docked at home to your keyboard and mouse and then pick it up to go to work/school with enough charge to last the entire day. Then you return home at night and dock it again. Ultraportability is the way of the future.

  • @KennyMak yeah just plug in my dick at night charge it up go to school/work next morning with my charged dick. ultraportability is the way of the future.

  • @ctraiNswagga That's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me :')

  • you're an idiot.

  • !!! tickertape was the original hand-held telegraph. Pocketwatch was the original personal organiser / "timepod".

..'bout time we respected where the original form factors came from.

  • any watch makers reading this thread? Invent a windup watch that also has a battery ty ..that also charges when u shake your hand :)

  • God i swear FORA was a giant IPAD commercial a year ago.

  • ...so we are listening to a conversation about technology, coming from a person who prefers manual wind-up watches???

Right... frizzy hair and no tie does not make you an intellectual!

  • @dmitriy40 read the second top comment that will explain it for you.

  • Well this was retarded.

  • The iPad isnt a good device... in fact anything with an 'i' in the front of it sucks.

  • So many counter arguments. Watch: yes, windup watch is nice, but also more fragile. Extra moving parts means extra parts that are easily broken. iPad: well, i'm not even going to explain that one. Like to sole purpose of the iPad is text messaging.. omg

  • The main argument is propably just that technology should develop from complex to simple. Easier to use. Then again, no point in analysing the arguments when the video is purely entertaining

  • I will never own an iPad when I can just buy a laptop for a fraction of the price that has more features.

  • @MarlinBeta laptops are complicated, ipads are not. there are so many god damn things u can do on computers its soooo confusing for normal people. whats great about apple is that they simplify things so normal ppl can use them.

  • This was indeed funny but there weren't that much solid argument. However, it doesn't take a genius to figure out how pointless the iPad is. To anyone who bought one: lol.

  • comedy, nothing arguments

  • @BaKer312213 Comedy is a tool for showing how ridiculous claims can be. Some of the best arguments i've ever heard are in comedy. Have you ever watched a George Carlin routine?

  • Is this a joke or for real? I really can't tell... All their arguments make no sense and it seems to me like theyre the ones thinking backwards, not technology. Either way, I'm not gonna rate till someone clears up for me whether it is a joke or not.

  • @LikeEminem It's not a joke, it's addressing the point that apple are just reinventing the wheel, most of the things they claim to have innovated were around a long time before. Just apple junkies lap it up as though Steve Jobs is the greatest genius of our time.

  • makes sense to me. if the ipad is about having information at your fingertips, the times does that just fine. social networking is bullshit that fills the void of need in order to justify the technology. it's a little like taking up smoking in order to use the ashtray you got for channukah.

  • @WikeddTung i disagree in the light of enviromental issues, multi-tasking, time and money; pad technology allows you to get a news paper, paper free, and althogh these benifits are off-set by the energy to charge it, the fact remains that it is still vastly more energy efficient. The pad technology also allows typing on the go and usefull internet acess for emails that which the news paper does not. I understand that was not what the men in the video r sayin, but you seem to be.

  • @mysteriousmrgrayarea well, first, i'm being just a bit facetious. the obvious advantage of the ipad over the ny times is that you can also get the every other newspaper on the planet. so, yes, i get the technology is better, you don't really need to defend it. as for my other, larger point about social networking and the bullshit "needs" we create in order to justify technology, i stand behind that without irony at all. cheers : )

  • @WikeddTung social networking is bullshit? And yet, here you are, partaking in the bullshit.

  • @eugimon really? youtube is social networking? i don't know you or your family. don't know where you live, work or go on vacation. i'm not inviting you to the party i'm headed to in a couple of hours and if you dropped dead tonight in your sleep i couldn't give a rat's ass. if that's your idea of socializing or networking, you must be one lonely broke ass motherfucker. : )

  • @WikeddTung And yet a big component of youtube is the social networking aspect. Your friends can see what you like, what you subscribe to. What youtube recommends to you is based, in part, on what the people you subscribe to like and favorite. Just because you're a socially dysfunctional individual who has a hard time expressing yourself without resorting to angry, childish rants, doesn't discount the fact that commenting on a social forum, is taking part in social networking.

  • @eugimon lol. awesome. YOU do your "social networking" on youtube and I'M socially dysfunctional. moron. the point of my original comment is that a person can live without "social networking" (and i mean facebook, twitter, etc.) as many billions of people do. so yes, it's BULLSHIT. your point seems to have been that posting my comment on youtube negates that somehow, which is a pedantic fallacy. you do seem very lonely and i'm sorry but i have enough friends so i'll be ignoring you now. bye! : )

  • @WikeddTung Hahaha, yeah... I'm sure you have lots of friends. Why, with a winning personality such as yours, I'm sure you're the king of all the cool middle school kids who like to hang out in the back lot of your local 7-11, snorting pixie sticks and acting cool.

  • Hmmm...

  • Can you really still buy wind-up watches?

  • all apple fanboys, don't get your panties in a wad. they aren't saying that the iPad isn't a good device, they are saying that the order of progress is sometimes a funny thing.

  • I don't get what's not to get. Comments on this video are dumb.

  • i have a solar powered watch, i win.

  • A bunch of assclowns.... idiots

  • Maybe they should make pacemakers that self charge instead of requiring surgery to replace the battery.

  • @MegF142857 they have those now

  • Bunch of nonsense. What are these guys talking about? The iPad should have been invented first? These guys apparently don't realize that technologies are invented based on the painstaking and incremental understanding of the science and engineering for the given time. Quantum physics, semiconductor chemistry, materials sciences, and countless other science and engineering fields had to be understood before anything like an iPad could surface.

  • @ctw005 They're obviously joking about it... lol

  • @ctw005 I think you need to re-watch the video but this time close the window that has porn on it and actually listen.

  • @SirFakeName BUT I LIKE PORN

  • @ctw005 Of course they know that. They are trying to make a point that in terms of the functionality, is the iPad really that much of an improvement over newspapers? Or is it the other way round? But of course, they are over simplifying the issue and the iPad has way more functions than just being a news paper.

  • I tried to sext with my new ipad2, *sigh* now its broken and very sticky...

  • sounds pretty nonsensical.

  • I don't buy a minute of this. It sounds like the drivel that would come from the moron Glen Beck.

  • in the old days... TV's were heavy yet wireless, telephones were light yet tethered

  • @DontTaseMeBro77 not the point

  • Newspapers are hard to read and they are bulky, and paper sadly kills trees

  • I can't believe people actually come and listen to this crap.

I feel ripped off just from wasting 3 minutes of my life here.

  • this phenomemon is known commonly as "the grass is always greener on the other side"

  • This was HILARIOUS :D

  • LMAO.. nice video.

  • The Ipad sucks balls.
