farcry 2 saving your buddies or the priest?

I just started playing Far Cry 2. The first buddy I got was the black chick, then the 2nd one I got was Warren who just kinda, randomly showed up. I got downed a couple of times and Warren would come and save me. During a mission I was doing he didn't get downed or killed, or call for help, but I haven't seen him since. He hasn't appeared in the bar or safehouses, and when I pause and open up the file, his photo isn't there anymore. Anyone know why? Did he just some how magically die?

@Mandolore101 sometimes when you walk away buddies get injured and die by default

I worked hard to get points with my buddies so I saved them.

I've saved buddies, idk hy, i am sensitive - I take them to my heart so deep D: ( it's a metaphor )

i saved the priest because i thought that the civs would have no chance wer as the merks had weapons and experience :P
