The real bummer of this season is that it started off with Lucifer suggesting that he wanted to go after God, but instead it just ends up being about a fight between him and Michael. They really messed up and missed out on a possibly very complex story. Good riddance to Kripke.

@kfunenapu I think Lucifer couldn't take a soul from heaven and bring them back, most likely where Nick's family is, because he's not allowed anywhere near heaven. Yet if Sam said yes to him and allowed Lucifer to fight and win the battle against heaven, he would be able to bring back any soul because he'd have access to heaven if he won. -shrug- That's what I got out of it.

Maybe he can, maybe he can't.  Either way, he lied to either Nick or Sam. He is the deceiver, after all. Ironic that he says that he wont lie or trick Nick, but yet shows up as his wife? Trickery!

True, but he still chose an "image" that Nick would find pleasant. U think Nick would have said yes to a huge beast with horns? Or a huge glowing angel? Maybe not. And Lucifer did try and manipulate Sam for a few dreams even BEFORE admitting to who he was.

@1993MovieMan That's true. I thonk Nick would have said yes anyways because unfortunately, he has nothing left to lose. It's hard for me to view Lucifer as the evil one in this show. I think i hate the angels (except Castiel and Joshua) more than the demons.

ok lucifer (who is still an angel) take the form of nicks dead wife for this small part here but from what i remember angel's cant take control of dead bodies only demons can enter a dead body....how could lucifer and michael do it? lucifer as nicks dead wife and Michael in adam's body...im stumped

He didn't bring his wife back, he made himself look like her. Same thing when Lucifer made himself appear like Jess during his first confrontation with Sam.

@krazy2death - Lucifer didn't have a vessel for this scene, so I'm guessing that he could appear in a dream as anyone he wanted. He chose the form of Sarah (I'm guessing on the spelling) to manipulate Nick into saying yes as his temporary vessel. TahirK1189 nailed it (in another post), though,about how Michael could occupy Adam.

@mparantha yeah i get all that dude but what im trying to say is this. demons can enter dead bodies and humans without permission and now i think i figured it out my own stupidity but same time im somewhat new to the show. dont remember all the rules between angels and demons. lucifer brought sarah back and got her to say yes same thing with michael/adam. im sorry again im somewhat new to the show. didnt mean to cause confusion or anything

@krazy2death adam wasn't brought back because he didnt die in the 100th he was taken over by michael he wasnt killed and lucifer got inside nicks head while he was dreaming like he did with sam and pretened to be jess like cas and anna did to dean and in a dream a doubt its hard for an angel to make themselves look like someone else

@MATTMEZZA666 - either he lied and said he couldn't, or it would take the power of heaven to bring back Nick's family. The other angels we've seen have either done it, or said they could do it, but, then again, they had the power of heaven behind them.

@VampireDiaries1997 Sam is Lucifer's true vessel. He knew it would be difficult to get Sam to say yes to him, however, so he had to occupy Nick until he could get into Sam.

@thewinchesters0 - From what Michael said (in young John Winchester's body) in The Song Remains the Same, Michael and Lucifer's vessels are from a blood line, which explains why Dean is Michael's true vessel, but not his only one (i.e. Adam and young JW). My question becomes, what is Nick's relation to the Winchesters?

@mparantha nick isnt connected to the winchesters the winchesters are michaels blooding and nick is lucifers nick cant hold lucifer well becuase lucifer is too powerful sam can hold lucifer becuase he was fed demon blood as a baby to make him able and strong enough

@jimmy2k4o - I'm still not so sure. Gabriel said in Changing Channels "As it is in heaven, so shall it be on earth," which means that the two brothers are the destined vessels. Couple that with what Michael said, and you can deduce that there must be some kind of blood connection between the various vessels (temporary and true). Also, Sam held Lucifer because he drank gallons of demon blood prior to saying "Yes." Cas. told him that he wouldn't be able to contain Lucifer unless he did so.

@jimmy2k4o - Also, the purpose of the demon blood with Sam as a baby was threefold: 1) to get him to the cemetery to play a role in the opening of the devil's gate (Lilith and Ruby are set free); 2) to give him psychic abilities which will allow him to kill Lilith, thus breaking the final seal to unleash Lucifer; 3) to allow him to be able to sustain Lucifer once he said, "Yes."

@xgbvs Lucifer`s still evil . He doesn`t lie . Afterall , his primary sin is Pride . However , he does sometimes leave certain truths out such as neglecting to tell Nick Sam`s his True Vessel & that once Lucifer`s inside Nick , his body will quickly begin to deteriorate from Lucifer`s sheer Angelic Power putting pressure on his fragile body .
