  • Remember this from Ray Rayner (kids show in Chicago) back in the 60's and early 70's, loved the show.

  • What a joy to see it again! I remember watching "The Funny Company" as a child in the early 60's. For years I would mention this cartoon to my friends, and they would tell me they never heard of it!! I was starting to think I may have imagined it!!

  • What a great show back in the 70's on WGN tv in the late afternoon. This would also appear on the Ray Rayner show at times as a extra.

  • I remember this show. Long forgotten in my memory, until I saw it on TV today on PBS. Well back in the 70's the show came on in the morning before school. Sometimes WGN would line it as a extra when the Flintstones came on at 6pm. And it was at that time I saw it most.

  • Lord Nose. That's clever.

  • Now some forty years later, there's a Super Duper Computer on the PBS Kids' show Super Why.

  • Man ya got me on this one. i have no recollection of this cartoon at all.

  • Does anybody remember Captain Sailorbird?

  • Very little is dormant in my mind, but when I clicked on this, the theme song came back to me, considering I hadn't heard it/thought about it in over 40 years!! Thanx for this pleasant surprize from the past!!

  • I fell asleep and woke up at 3am with this playing on the TV. It sort of freaked me out. I Remembered it very vividly, but I am quite certain I had not seen it in well over 30 years. We moved to Lamont IL in 69 when I was three & moved away when I was 8. This brought back a huge flood of memories. The voices & images were like I had just seen them yesterday, but I had completly forgotton about it.

  • I remember watching:"The Funny Co."tv cartoons

With Morty Gunty on WOR TV Ch.9 In NYC back in

    1963.

  • Yes. I remember "The Funny Company"! It was featured on "Cactus Pete's Funny Company". The show originated from WSIL TV 3 out of Carbondale, IL back in the 60's and maybe early 70's. Also in the line up was "Clutch Cargo" and "Space Angel".

Wow! This brings back lots of memories!

    Thanks'!

  • I saw clutch Cargo here on You Tube.

  • I agree lovethoseclips. WGN and other "independent" stations aren't the same.

  • Yes... I too remember this from W.G.N in Chicago many years ago. Back then they really catered to kids., Bozo, Frazier Thomas, Ray Rayner and such. Now.. it's all just a memory.

  • At the end of each episode as the closing credits rolled, at the very bottom was the message....KEEP SMILING with a smiley face.

  • This was one of the cartoons shown on Sally Starr's Popeye Theater on WFIL (now WPVI), the ABC affiliate in Philadelphia, at 4 o'clock, where Oprah is today.

  • I remember watching this cartoon series on "Garfield Goose & Friends" in Chicago many years ago when I was a kid....was this cartoon aired on any other show, besides the one I mentioned?

  • Yes, it was seen on many local kid shows across the country. In Milwaukee it was seen on a show entitled "Kids Klub", which aired on WTMJ-TV, the local NBC affiliate.

  • I see....thanks very much! WGN-TV just isn't the same anymore as it used to be....they were the "TV Land" type channel, airing mostly reruns that I'd like to see again today. The only time I watch WGN now, is for Cubs baseball, & WGN News.

  • This is from the time when cartoons were fun to watch, i used to watch this in the 80's. Roger Ramjet was another i used to watch.

  • I saw this show back in 1966 when it was on a local show that was also showing the Popeye cartoons, and I used to sing this song out loud. Haven't seen this show since 1966.

  • Holy crow I haven't seen this in like 40 years! where dig you dig this one up?

  • HAHAHAHAHAH!

i watched this in the mid 90's
