I think that Higham's theory is interesting that the building frenzy of the late 12th and early 13th century contributed to the exhaustion of the Angkorian people and hence contributed to the decline of Angkor. I note that the pictures used in the video don't necessarily match the text. When they discuss Khmer-Cham fighting, they show images of the Battle of Lanka (monkeys vs. demons)! When they discuss Khmer-Thai fighting, they show images of Cham warriors.
