What people really need to understand is that unless your dog is very submissive there will be a time were they play like this. This is not fighting! there is no way a dog will willingly be on its back during a fight. This is basically a rough play fight for alpha or dominance in my opinion. A female rottweiler ist not necessarily taller than a male boxer, also a male rottweiler can be smaller than a male boxer. The main issue is that many dogs today are bred too large. Larger than the breed standart allows. Among others rottweiler and doberman are bred often much too large. And indeed thats a defect regarding to the standard. This dogs must - should be taken out of breeding.

They all feel the need to establish dominance. It is best to let them work it out, as long as no serious injuries occur. If it gets to that point, the dogs should definitely be separated for their safety. Look at how often humans fight.

@tekkchick I've tried socializing my male staffy but even at old age(he 9s 10 years old) and lazy and hell he still fights other dogs if he gets to them.
Not trying to insult ya or anything but maybe whoever had him as a puppy didn't teach him how to play or interact with other dogs properly. Pits have trouble reading other dogs body language so they tend to get into those situations more often. I let my litters go at 10 weeks instead of 8 weeks because of that reason. They have much better socialization skills with other dogs. They learn it mostly from my older female who is about 8yrs and a natural alpha towards pups which is great for them.

This reminds of my Boxers, my male and female are BOTH dominate... they only get along when she is in season! If there is one thing about boxers is that they never back down from a fight. You should seperate those two... its not worth one of them getting injured.
iam having a male boxer too and he is doing the same sound when he has trouble with others.
in this situation i would keep them away from each other because the boxer is showing much much domination... if u do that long time like this they will fight hard one time.
one thing i do know for sure a boxer does have a posibility of taking down a real rottweiler but it all depends on the dog. But Something for sure is even if a rottie was coming to try and attack a boxer it could just run away because they are lighter and they have more stamina so it makes them faster
These dogs are having a dominance issue. It's ok to let them work it out to a point. Most conflicts don't end in bloodshed, but as the leader you have to put a quick end to them or one dog may become injured by accident.

I left a comment a while back trying to be polite but this guy just wanted to take the piss, my Rottweiler is just over 1 and a half now,is just under 50kg with the vets saying hardly any fat, even him being a pup and if was childish/sick enough to get him going to fight your Boxer hed soon make the Boxer breed look weak. I honestly couldnt picture me been so daft to put it on youtube as all these kind of breeds are getting a hard time due to people not looking after them proper, with respect!

2 things to day. One: They were astabloshing order, BUT that IDIOT should not have been 'coaxing' the dog, or 'cheering' the dog on. Even though this was a common action (at least the beginning) that idiot should have separated them once the Boxer was over the dog in a dominant manor. People need to learn how to own a dog CORRECTLY before having one.

They all feel the need to establish dominance. It is best to let them work it out, as long as no serious injuries occur. If it gets to that point, the dogs should definitely be separated for their safety. Look at how often humans fight.

Not trying to insult ya or anything but maybe whoever had him as a puppy didn't teach him how to play or interact with other dogs properly. Pits have trouble reading other dogs body language so they tend to get into those situations more often. I let my litters go at 10 weeks instead of 8 weeks because of that reason. They have much better socialization skills with other dogs. They learn it mostly from my older female who is about 8yrs and a natural alpha towards pups which is great for them.

This reminds of my Boxers, my male and female are BOTH dominate... they only get along when she is in season! If there is one thing about boxers is that they never back down from a fight. You should seperate those two... its not worth one of them getting injured.

one thing i do know for sure a boxer does have a posibility of taking down a real rottweiler but it all depends on the dog. But Something for sure is even if a rottie was coming to try and attack a boxer it could just run away because they are lighter and they have more stamina so it makes them faster

These dogs are having a dominance issue. It's ok to let them work it out to a point. Most conflicts don't end in bloodshed, but as the leader you have to put a quick end to them or one dog may become injured by accident.
