  • that pretty good

  • I just bought this for my Asus G74sw! COMING IN A DAY! :D

  • My m1730 fits perfectly in the back pocket, and the dell website shows the pocket with a bag holding a keyboard.Call me crazy, but I think that's what those are for.

  • got pockets?

  • Does this come in different colors?

    or just red?

  • haha this back pack amke u feel like ur carrying a small sute case on ur back it quite funny it a good bag but i decided to go with somthing smaller for taking it in to school dont wawnta look like im going hiking

  • Sager 9262 has desktop Q9650 for years and it's running fine. i7 is just as hot as Q9650

  • also remember, theres a reason why laptop components are different from desktop components.

  • that laptop must weight alot D:

how much can it cost me O_O

  • its a very nice laptop but i reckon it will last about 2 months, if its the size of a normal 17" gaming laptop it will fry inside completely as the i7 extreme is very hot and so is the graphics card, either that or it will be about twice the size or a normal gaming laptop.

  • It's like 11 pounds.

  • Hmm, i was looking at that laptop. Rumor has it, it's made by using old parts by some korean? (its some foreign company) along with that, its expensive. Oh, btw, the company is called clevo. So yea, i'll stick with a dell/alienware, more bang for the buck.

  • Clevo makes the High End parts for Dell...

  • I ve ordered sapphire and nothing like XPS is writing on my bag and its diffrent from this one :S:S:S: wtff?? please reply me !!!

  • i got the laptop and this bag.

are you sure you stick the laptop in the front section? the zips might scratch it, i stick it in the back, with the clip, no zips = no scratches.

  • You're right. I'm %100 sure the laptop goes in the back pocket for two main reasons- One,it is padded and has the seperate clipped-in sleeve, and two it's just simple ergonomics to put the heaviest item in the bag (likely the laptop) closest to your body.

  • How much was it?

  • $150

  • Mine also came with a small mesh sided zipped bag to put the power brick in. It has velcro on its underside so that it sits firmly at the bottom of the front pocket!

Wish I could work out what the draw string bag in the centre pocket is all about, its almost like a drink cooler!!! :)

  • keyboard I think....

  • i orderd this backpack together with my XPS m1730.

i can't wait untill it arrives!!!

    ;)

  • used it once to carry 2 laptops..dont ask why.

  • i got it i was way to big it looked like i was going camping now the only problem is i cant find a good size case for my 1730

  • it goes in the bag where you clip it shut for easy robbing access

  • the pocket helded by the clip is where you put the xps..

  • the whole point of a laptop backpack is not letting people know u have an expensive laptop inside...this backpack said "rob me, please"

  • AFAIK, the laptop goes in the pouch in the back pocket with the clip to hold it in. It'd just fall about in the main section of the bag.

  • Guys avoid Dell financing the interest rate is rediculously high (24% for me in December 2007)!

If you do need financing try a low interest credit card, mine is at 11.74% (thats less than half of Dells finance). Make sure to check the credit card you are applying for has low yearly fees, a good interest free period on purchases and a low or the same interest rate for cash advances (just in case)!

  • I just bought the XPS on my Dell prefered account...no interest for 12 months. Ill be done in 10 or less.

  • thanks

  • Guys

If you pay monthly the interest is HUGE - 29.8%. There is an option to buy now pay later this is what I have done. Basically you get the laptop and dont pay for a year - then when your year is up you either pay the balance plus £45 or start paying montly instalments. That 29.8% rate is going to cripple you though - during the year save up as much as you can and pay it off after a year.

  • I have that bag for my M1730 and you said that you put the laptop in the front its better if you put it in the back where the strap is because there is foam padding to protect it incase u drop it and it beter protected from knocks and bumps.

  • that thing i HUGE! i have one lol

  • very cool i will be getting mine soon hopefully in the next few month i upgraded the thing like heck up to 4500$ so before i get the money and order tell me this is this something you love that has almost nothing to complain about? if ya got anything to complain about what would it be (just want to make sure im not wasting my money)

  • The only complaint I have at the mo is the 8700 card, which hasnt lived up to my expectations. Although my 8800GTX SLI card has dispatched, so I should have that very soon now!!!

The driver support for the GPUs is not up to scratch just yet, and SLI is a touch flakey. That support will increase in time, making the system both stable and have high performance. The hardware on the system itself is absolutely awesome, and I have no regrets in its purchase.

  • what about when i looked online about ship date they said 3/7/08 does that mean they arnt shipping till march? :( i hope not cause mine will prob take some time to build.

  • Thats an estimated date. It will probably arrive before then.

  • ya thats good only thing thats bad is that i cant get it for a few months no financing cause i have a late payment and i am still paying off my desktop but i think once i pay the payment off i should have the financing.

  • So the 8700 isn't a good card? Not even with 2?

    Best Regards,

    Divishona on Notebookreview

  • are u paying monthly?? Because i want to get one one so bad

  • ya monthly

  • how much credit did they give u

  • i am not sure i will check in the next few days for ya. haven't had the time to do much rofl been using it but ill post what it is here in a few

  • by the way did u no that u can send back ur laptop to dell and they will reaplase ur dule 8700 with the dule 8800 i send mine of on monday so just letting u no its defently worth doing i think its free

  • I have the card coming over the next week or so anyway. Cheers.

  • what do you mean? Is it the graphics card youre talking about?

Damn i've just orderd an xps...

  • umm are u a hundred % sure thats were the laptop goes because i keep mine in the back pocket were the clip is coz it fis and its very paded there but if u could find out were u sed it goes is defently the right place i would be very gratful thnks. :)

  • To be honest, Im not sure myself! I put it there since thats where it fit nicely. It could probably go into either pocket - front or back.

  • The padded pocket -is- the intended pocket for your laptop. The padding and clip ensure the laptop is protected from outward elements inside and out off your backpack and secure the laptop in place. You /could/ put it in the other large zipper section, but I wouldn't advise it. The laptop would be loose and exposed to anything inside those extra pockets. You may not realize it, but the slightest bump from something solid can potentially harm your notebook. Padded pocket's the way to go.

  • Very good point. Thanks for pointing this out ;o)

  • My pleasure. (:

  • Is this a UK backpack ? or a US one ?

  • This is the UK one

  • Thanks very much, there are no details anywhere I have been asking on various forums to find out :-) (miprs4 on the laptop forums (its a car thing) LOl
