  • Sweety, you will always have build up in your hair, whether it be product build up, or sweat or just dust and everyday dirt, that's why you have shampoo.

  • haha never mind i had my headphones plug without even realizing it i feel like a dummy lol

  • what r u guys talking bout cause i cant hear a thing shes saying lol

  • Is it a bad idea if I cut every split end everyday I find myself cutting everyday I followed ur tips my hair is a lot healthy I just wanted to know if I should leave my hair alone or just dust off my self every time I see one:) thanks

  • THANKS ALOT EVERYTIME I CUT MY SPLITENDS I JUST TOTALLY FAILED BIG TIME SO YEAH THANKS FOR UR VIDEO.

  • I have a big question. I have about an inch longer than shoulder length hair. for the bottom half of my hair, I have about an 1nch worth of dead/split ends. for the upper half, I have about 1 and a half inches of dead/split ends. If I cut it (which I probably will), how fast should it grow back. And do you suggest a "asian mullet"?

  • Is it better to wrap the whole strand of hair around your finger and brush it up and cut?

    XOXO ;)

  • your hair is lovely but it must take you all week to trim it

  • your hair is lovely but it must take you all week to trim it

  • Is your hair natural or do you get relaxers? Also when you are trimming your hair, do you do the back of your head by yourself or do you usually get someone to do it for you? I am trying to learn how to do this technique by myself but I am not sure how to do the back of my hair without cutting my hair off...help plz! I love your videos and your hair is beautiful!

  • I can't stand when people ask if you're mixed with something like our african blood somehow denies us from ever having long hair. Most black women don't achieve this length b/c they have simply been passed down years and years of bad hair practices. But if you look at most of our pictures as little girls what did we have, long thinck puffy pretty pony tails. I have seen some black mothers put perms in a two year olds head and I could just scream. Take care of your hair and it will grow.

  • Great video, but it is hard to look at your hair with such a nice chest in the picture. You look great.

  • my hair used to be that legnth but the slit ends broke my hair down to shoulder legnth so trimming is a must...thanks for posting

  • great video, I am about to have my mom trim my hair right now, and I really wanted to look up the proper way. My ends are scary because I wear my hair alway natural and in a fro.

  • hey ik this is a different subject but i just had to ask do u where heels because im 5'10" and i dont feel confortable wearing heels but if u do could u tell me wat length u wear i just wanna see if tall peop acually wear heels and anybody else thats 5'9" or taller feel free to comment cuz i need al the answers i can get

  • you can alson get the split ender it does the exact same thing for you(:

  • lol.. umm its really easy to tell when someone is mixed(:

  • omg this is ridiculous, this may work for some but definitely not me. Sorry girl this is too time consuming! keep doing your thing and what works for you tho!

  • Is it wrong to use a toenail clipper to clip my ends. I have scissors, but i can never find them...lol

  • Yes i have been doing that lately and i see that it is possible.but i really have to be dedicated to taking care of my hair.i have started my healthy hair journey recently so i pray i continue and reach my goal of having long healthy relaxed hair.

  • I just watched your hot oil treatment it was FAB, I"m growing out my short hair.. Just trying to get tips on my healthy hair Journey :).. Love Your Hair

    Kimmie

  • i dont want to relax my hair but my mom insists i do i had my hair perned last month and i had my hair relaxed yesterday is it over processing plus i cant find my scissors rite now so yeah but thx

  • No one is ALL BLACK in America!!! and there are plenty ALL AFRICAN women with long thick hair...

  • Oh no, I think what you are doing for your sisters is beautiful, but what you are doing in this video, I do not have patience for. I am a every hyper person. Is there another way?.

  • Well I must say, you have awsome tits :)

  • @stinab2007 Many black women have long, thick, healthy hair. We don't have to be mixed to have beautiful long hair.

  • lol this video is soooooo cute ! even a 4 yr old can catch knowledge from u. I love how u explain things n i like ur voice. great vid !

  • @MsBribriful THANK YOU! I took years of Public Speaking! It seems to come in handy!

  • @stinab2007 I am mixed with AFRICAN and AMERICAN. ;)

  • @TheTruthisHair I LOVE YOU.............LOL

  • @TheTruthisHair how can you be mixed ur just african. Theres no such thing has black american thats why your call afro american. blacks are african

  • @Bluvs19 she was being humorous duh...

  • @TheTruthisHair American meaning black american or white american?....cause there's both lol

  • @stinab2007 You should search the rest of you tube for the other black women with long beautiful hair. (Relaxed and Natural) Theres hundreds, so inspirational I tell you :)

  • @stinab2007 wow, you suck if you believe that. Are you Human? or Alien or something cuz You thinking defies logic, really stupid assumptions. I have not seen this kinda ignorance in a human before.

  • @stinab2007 anyone can have long healthy hair, no matter what they are they just have to take care of it, I use to have long hair before I lost it to cancer, andme, my family are all from America. Hair growth is all about taking care of ur body and taking care of ur hair, anyone of any nationality can have it. lol.

  • @stinab2007 no one is 100% anything :/ ESPECIALLY in the americas. all americans are mixed with something down the line. you are very ignorant

  • How short was your hair before?

  • @grovygirl29 PLEASE look at my I AM DEDICATED TO YOU video

  • @MsRugah don't promote products!

  • is baby dont bald a bad product to use?

  • damn i wish i was ur sister so u could help me with my hair

  • Is "Let's Jam" an ok product to use for styling?

  • @Queenjwls68 NO ! It dries your hair andd causes your hair to break off. (I learned that the hard way) .

  • Should the hair be straight or can I do it while it is curly?

  • just saw ur videos and i luv them. Im trying 2 grow my hair 4 a long time now, but it breaks alot and its very thin. Where do u get the natural oils from? do i oil my scalp, the ends or everything?

  • @mzluvagyal indian stores, natural product stores like the Vitamin shoppe, whole foods...some vendors on ebay but you got to make sure the vendor is legit and you would probably get the cheapest prices there. Hope this helps :-)

  • BELIEVE IT SISTAS DONT WEAVE IT!!!!..though id share...

  • You are officially my hero =)

  • Comment removed

  • IM SOO GLAD I RAN ACROSS UR VIDEOS...I WATCHED ALL OF THEM TODAY..AND I DECIDED TO USE UR METHOD OF TRIMMING UR ENDS AND FLAT IRONING MY HAIR WITH OIL...AND I CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE IN MY HAIR...NORMALLY I'LL USE HAIR GREASE, AND MY HAIR WILL FEEL HEAVY AFTER, BUT NOW IT FEELS LIGHT...I LOVE YOU GIRL...LOLTHANKS

  • I don't know if you answered this question in your other videos or not but do you relax your hair regularly and/or flat ironed it?

  • YOUR HAIR IS SO PRETTY

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GROW?

  • whoa .. you have huge boobs,, no homo

  • ****Hey, Why don't you purchase the split ender. Might save you more time. I will purchase it soon!!!

  • thanx for this vid i was one second from giving up and shaving my head ... my i paused looked on youtube trying to find some videos to reinspire me and i found your channel (:

  • Great vid but I was lol @ "very important alert" until i watched the vid....you have a new subscriber.... :)

  • i was thinking of doing the search and destroy method. I have dye on the top of m hair and had to cut some of it off because of breakage and splitting ends, not it looks like a weird cut i did, lol but it doesnt look really bad. but the rest of my hair doesnt have dye, i was thinking of the search and destroy. wold you reccomend that on shoulder length hair?

  • I love this method!! I'm going to try it right now! Lol!

  • More important how do you stay in shape and keep your boobs :( jealous much lol

  • i thought you were suppose to use the special cutting shears. regular scissors might hurt your hair if they aren't sharp enough i though.

to me it sounds like split ends are the number one enemy to hair growth. you HAVE to take care of it.it is worth the time to learn how to do it yourself properly because i (for example) pay 15 bucks (including tips) to get my hair trimmed. its kinda ridic.

  • Video would have been shorter had she not talked so much.

  • love tha video

  • Do you have a perm?

  • do u do this after u flat iron ur hair orr after u perm it and ur hair is so beautiful im like at APL and want to be at BSL by next januray i hope i make it i try to take ur way of do hair using oils and water

  • OMG....YOU CANNOT USE SCISSORS TO TRIM ENDS!!!!!!!! YOU MUST USE SHEARS!!! SCISSORS ARE NOT SHARP ENOUGH!!!! WHY DO U THINK COSMETOLOGIST USE SHEARS? BECAUSE THEY ARE SHARP ENOUGH TO SEAL YOUR ENDS UNLIKE SCISSORS!!! UR ENDS WILL STILL BE SPLIT!!!!! THAT IS NOT HOW YOU CLIP ENDS!!!!! I AM A COSMETOLOGIST..THIS IS INCORRECT ON SOO MANY LEVELS..

  • @msjennymarie23 Who Gives A Fuck If You R Cosmetologist Apparently She Is Doin Sumtin Right Look At How Long Her Hair Is So Pls Get Off Her Page N Take o Advise Somewhere Else !!!!!!

  • You should never cut your hair with regular scissors

  • thkx clear explanation, keep vids coming girl!

  • wat do you think of the split ender ??? it does basically wat you do but it saves more time i believe

  • love your advise I've always been scared to trim because I didnt like the idea of cutting to much but I am gonna try it your way.....thanx

  • Awesome Vid!

I love how you explain everything :D

    xx

  • @DuckyYouRetard Thank u!

  • It has been proven that your hair will NOT split all the way up the hair shaft. thats a MYTH. It is impossible. Even if you take boths side off the split and pull. Your ends will look ratty and it is damage to the hair but cutting it is only superficial. Some people with very long hair wont trim for years and still have long hair. It makes your hair look better but it will NOT continue to split up the shaft. Just thought I would put it out there. Thanks for the vid, girly!

  • @JadoreNelle Thanks for the comment!

  • @JadoreNelle i don't know if that's necessarily true....i'm trimming my splits right now and let me tell you, some splits are way up the shaft. i wonder how long they've been in there. qb did you moisturize your hair before trimming? i left it dry after rollerset

  • @JadoreNelle ohhh thanks for that info.

  • @JadoreNelle I think split ends still cause breakage, though. They cause the hair to TANGLE which increases friction and tugging, even if your just turning your head, the hair will be pulling on themselves. This promotes breakage. I know from my own hair, split ends have never gone all the way up, but it does go up to a certain point and sometimes it meets hair that has been over processed and it breaks. D: So its still good to clip on the new moon (yes, I kinda believe in that lol!)

  • @JadoreNelle i have split ends all in the shaft of my hair so that proof does not seem correct!!!

  • @bellejohnson Then you should go on Ripley's Believe It or Not. Google it.

  • @JadoreNelle IF I COULD I WOULD IF SHE HAD IT AND I HAVE IT THAN THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO SAY.

  • @JadoreNelle that is not true. When hair splits, it splits unevenly, which in turns breaks, then a new split end has been made and the ugly cycle begins. Go 2 Bing.com, go under images, enter split end and you will see a chart w/various types of split ends. I've seen it on my own hair. By the way I've actually split my hair to the hair shaft, I was testing the saying "splitting hairs" and pulled hair o/of my brush to see if it was possible, I made it down to the follicle.

  • @didn't mean to repeat myself; I thought my first comment deleted, reentered, and edited. also I didn't mean to the follicle.

  • @JadoreNelle I'm sorry, but that is not entirely true;because a split end will break unevenly =another split end =breakage thus it can, but not always, travel up the shaft. By the way the It's ironic, but I've actually taken a piece of my hair w/a split end from a brush & split it all the way down 2 the bulb. If you notice ppl who don't trim, their hair is discolored (like someone took a match 2 their hair) from the ends up, this is a sign of hair breakage travelling.

  • Hello, I really enjoyed your tutorial! You have a friendly humble manner too which makes the hair care lesson further enjoyable to watch. Thankyou for sharing the knowledge. Best Regards

  • @Keke1980s Thanks for the love it really keeps me going!

  • Omg ur hair is sooo longg

  • THIS IS MAJOR!!! I THOUGHT I knew what "dusting" was. But what you did gets more of the hair strands! And thanks for the tip about just oiling the hair and just shampooing the scalp and not the hair (tip from another video), to avoid product build-up!! You have given me three more tools for growing my hair long! THANKS AGAIN!!! : )

  • Thanks for watching my videos!

  • HAPPY GROWING!

  • you should check out the split ender. It dusts all your ends throughout the entire length of your hair in like 15 minutes.

  • I have one and I'm currently using it!

  • @ilovefreebies1

what is a split ender? i've never even heard of it.

  • @avastacia

google 'talavera split ender'. You'll see what it is

  • this helped me alot because i;'ve been on a natural hair journey fro about 5 in half months and i 've had alot of growth and i needed to trim my hair and you helped thanks

  • Thank u for the support!

  • Finally, I learn something new. I NEVER saw anyone wrap the hair around the finger. I have been wondering how the hell I'm supposed to get the shorter hairs.

    GENIUS!!!!

  • I can't take the credit for this, EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE!

  • your hair is sooooo very gorgeous, thanks for this.

  • Thank u for the support!

  • Hello truth, I have not cut my split ends in about 5 years. I tried to do the dusting last week and kind of gave up because my hair is sooo think and there are just so many split ends. Do you think I should go over the section numerous times and should I straighten my hair first

  • The less frustrating way to do this is when you washed and straighten your hair.

  • oh my word!!!

You are so right on the split end example with the mozzarella stick.

You have so inspired me to grow my hair.

My hair is a bit fine from all the brading, weaving, relaxing and negligence. But I believe this is gonna change. I know that with effort and patience it will change.

    Amen to myself.

Anyways, thank you for being so honest!

  • AMEN!

  • I've been interested in dusting my hair, but my biggest concern is that my hair is natural. Would you recommend that I use this technique? When dry my hair is shoulder length, but when wet it falls mid-back/-chest.

s my fear of cutting more than needed. I understand the explana

  • I have never trimmed my own hair before....I am a bit nervous but willing to learn...

what is the "split ender" and where can i purchase it?

  • i do that my family thinks it's crazy b/c i try 2 cut every split end but ppl d results r amazing u will have thicker fuller hair

  • is it not good to have people play in ur hair will it make it fall out ? cuz ppl always touchin my hair askin me wat im mixed with lOl

  • First of all they should ask you can they touch it. I don't like tooo many people touching my hair because they can get rough.

  • you have beautiful boobs anh hair :)

  • Thanks?

  • LMFAOooooo...wow

  • i use a split ender when i dust. it does basically what you do in this vid, snipping off a veeeery little bit.

  • I used it for the first time this week and it make sense to me that it is doing the same thing I'm doing in this video. I will see how it holds up, but so far so good.

  • WHAAAAAAT??? lol omg that would take daaaaaayz....i could never do that...i wana but im impatient i could never never do that lol....maybe juz straighten my whole hair n do 1 smal chop across....nice vid tho =)

  • I know for 2010 I am using something called the split ender I will keep you guys posted.

  • Have you gotten a chance to purchase and use the split ender yet? I'm considering buying one soon.

  • Yes and so far so good. Let me sit with it for like a year and then I will give my officially point of view.

  • Do You Relax Your Hair?

  • I use a gentle texture softner.

  • dis is very helpful thnx =D

  • do u think it's better to cut split end when the hair is flat iron?

  • As oppose to it being curly? If so the I think it's best to "dust" your hair when it's straight whether that's achieve by flat irioning or rollerset.

  • omg thanks so much :)

    great vid love your hair

  • This is a great technique. I trimmed my ends about 4 weeks ago and i can already see the results. My hair and ends are much thicker.. Thank you I enjoy all of your videos.

  • Wow, that looks like it would take forever...I've never heard of trimming ends that way. I'm gonna try it.

  • If it takes forever YOU ARE WORTH IT!

  • i love ur channel. ur an inspiration to me!

  • Thank you!!! You inspire me to keep going!!!!

  • What about brushing..do you brush your hair? if so, how often?

  • No I hardly brush. The only time I may use a brush on my hair is if I'm rocking a ponytail.

  • Your so pretty...Thanks for helping me

  • Thank You!

  • You look a lil bit like Sunshine from Hairlista

  • i got that shirt in red, but you have some great tips. i see you say, you try not to use the comb on your hair. thats great, i myself, don't use a brush on my hair because my hair is relaxed and the relaxer is already hursh enough. Also, its best to use scissors that are made for cutting hair. BUT UR VID IS GR8 & I WILL TRY THIS!!

  • i really liked your repesentation of hair using the cheese. so hum what can u do to get those layers u lost back?

  • What layers?

  • hurr boobz are 2 biq they luk fake buh nice video

  • I'M ALL REAL BABY! But thanks for the compliment. (I think)

  • coconut oil really helped me..in two weeks my hair became thicker and my ends looked really healthy like it had a trim

  • PRAISE GOD!

  • how did you use the coconut oil?

  • @bababagirl01

i just apply it with an applicator bottle thur out my hair.and i make sure i get my ends very well day and night
