The lyrics are really smart, and that's one reason why I enjoyed the song as much as I did. The instrumentation is definitely reminiscent to Candlemass as well (not surprising, considering their connections). This is an awesome song.

@TillLindmann Mats Leven does a lot of Power Metal but all the same it is Doom Metal, of course there is plenty of doom metal under different titles, for example Meshuggah is Doom/Extreme Metal, which is really apparent in Rational Gaze or Bleed. Gothic Metal (Gathering,Therion) is typically just a variation of doom metal. Candlemass is the original, this is a experimental Candlemass.

@TillLindmann Also by wiki definitions, if that really counts for anything, there is even hip hop that is Dooomish,(inspiring despair, dread, or impending doom) for example Tricky - Excess or Tech N9ne - Killing you, if you move past a slight genre barrier they really all feel the same and if you really like doom, that is what counts. ;D
