  • Wings of Russia

  • yak 141 ussr 1974 , f35 usa 2000 xaxaxaxaxaxaxaxa and americans think they are ahed xaxaxaxaxa

  • I wonder gratefully if somebody would translate with subtitles for people who don't know russian.

  • They tested it on carriers?? I had no idea.

  • Lockheed Martin you plagiarist bastards!

  • Amerykańce skopiowały Yak-a , w swoim F-35 pionowego startu .

  • Back end looks like F35

  • @pencon61 F35 is based on yak 141

  • @Baboonmann

Is it true the Americans bought the Yak 141 engine in 1996 to use it for the F35 ?

  • @mlk22771 Absolutely true!

  • @mlk22771 Yes

  • @mlk22771 Yes and No. The design was bought and heavily modified. The problem with the Yak 141 is that it's not in production and never will be. If you want to talk about making a copy of a plane. The new Russian stealth fighter is a copy of the F-22.

  • Grand daddy of F-22....

  • @Hatinonthehaters chump, F22 is no for vertical takeoff, F 35 vertical takeoff.

  • is this Russia history channel

  • actually the first supersonic VTOL fighter was the Dassault Mirage IIIV. But it was to complicated and had dangerous flight characteristics.

  • mig-31... I'm juss sayin...

  • I would love to see the translation of this clip, subtitles.

  • Yakovlew, we remeber you were first!

  • @OPworldwideIA thats a first.

  • i believe ne1 can make an air frame.....i think its the electronics that count but this is a beautiful aircraft

  • This is where the American F-35 came from.

  • It is interesting to note that the team who worked on the Yak-141 have (indirectly) contributed to the development of the US JSF program, off course, the Yankee would never admit that. The Russian had many advanced and brilliant ideas (surpassing the so-called western technology) though, they were plagued with communism, a retarded and detrimental system which was imported from the west.

  • I still some some F-22 "fanboys" making comments on things they don't know anything about. That jet is pure garbage! Never before in the history of American military aviation has an aircraft with so much hype, and fanfare (and cost!) has seen it's production cancelled in such a short amount of time after it's introduction. And no, we don't even know the full capabilities and parameters of the SU-35 or the PAK-FA to say that they can't compete with the Raptor. That's just plain stupid!

  • @IAmOpenMinded F-22 was canceled because Lockeed was screwing the US government big time on their over run costs, so Gates told them to fuck off. !80 F-22's is enough to get the job done anyway.

  • @electronicdawg F22 was canceled because yank engineers couldn't get their shit straight with tech's and gizmo's. The F22 looks fancy on paper, in practicality a Chinese 4Gen fighter will blow it out the sky like your football coach blew it in your ass in college. :)

    Good day.

  • @electronicdawg I agree with the first part of your comments. Yes, defense contractors are taking US taxpayers to the "cleaners". I bet Lockeed's CEO, and other "high level" executives laughed all the way to the bank on that project. What you might not be aware of is that the F-22 is now OFFLINE for lack of a better word as it is too unreliable, too expensive to maintain, and cannot perform all of the mission objectives planned for it. Eighty Five Billion Dollars "bites the dust"!

  • @IAmOpenMinded Well #1 you got your wires crossed somewhere with mis-information. There are 180 F-22 active rite now, and the problems they had have been fixed. These planes were too expensive to be scraped, and the problems too minor. You need to quit listing to state run news. It's all wrong. I would love to see an Su-35 try to go up against an F-22 or even an F-15, or f-16 for that matter. F-16's have downed 12 mig 29's with no losses. 7 Syrian and 5 Bosnian. Bring on the SU-35

  • @electronicdawg Dude please don't get into an argument with me! The F-22 fleet was grounded last May 6 indefinitely. There's no funds to fix anything! Understand? The Obama Administration said NO MORE! The US Air Force can obtain, and maintain air superiority only against poorly trained pilots from third world countries flying OUTDATED equipment. American pilots have been challenged by Russian pilots to engage in mock combat several times with the same response...silence. End of story

  • @IAmOpenMinded Don't get me wrong Russia has some very awesome looking planes, but pretty doesn't get it in warfare, its what the pilot and plane can do that matters. The USA spends in excess of a million dollars a year training each pilot, and keeping their flying skills up to date as long as there flying for the USA. Russia can't make that claim.

  • @electronicdawg Yay so glad the U.S is spending billions of dollars from our national budget to pay for a war we shouldn't be in.

  • A really great aircraft. Which will never see production. Russia had planned on using it on thier aircraft carriers. But thier new carriers the Kunetsov and Gorshkov were equiped with the Sukhoi's. Only the Mokva class carriers were set up to use the YAK jets. However the Russians decommisioned them buy 91. So the funding for the YAK 141 was cancelled. It was truely ahead of it's time.

  • honestly man, I think anyone who upload a video which is set in whatever language then you have to tittle it in that language.

  • lol you claim russian technology is the greatest in the world? Yet if i remember correctly the USSR was the nation that collapsed upon itself. Just because this plane came out first does not mean that the us "stole" it. This was a popular idea for many years. with the F-22, the only other fighter in the world that i am concerned with that is worth a damn is the Su T-50 PAK FA.

  • @matts396 F22 is stupid expensive worthless piece of crap. There were occasions when they could not take off on Hawaii because of rain. Recently there are found a lots of problems of F22 regarding oxygen equipment. Then, many software problems and failures have been found. Americans always do something expensive but very ineffective and unreliable. That's normal stupidness of americans. Not only T-50 PAK FA is competitor of F22. Russian planes of 4++ generation like Su-35/37 can compete too.

  • @AlexanderTch Ill admit that there is a problem that has not been found in ALL the F-22's. However, Su-35/37 and Su-47 prototype were never on par with the F-22. Not even a competition. And as it stands, the only thing that the T-50 PAK FA can outperform is the F-35, which they are still working on. Lol you really hate America dont you? Yet, I want you to go one day without the freedoms you have here. I would love to see where you get your "information" on this topic from.

  • @matts396 You're obviously a sod with Americunt hype. The F22 is garbage. A chinese 4th gen can wipe it from the sky, dont be so gullible. Raptor looks good on paper, its versatility compared to some older models of SU or the Mig doesn't even come CLOSE. You don't need much brain to figure that shit out Americunt. Videos speak for them selves.

Oh, and from the recent news, it's been canceled. What an expensive heap eh? Hit the ground hard, just like your pride. :)

  • @DigitalDNA Blow it out your ass you Russian piece of shit. What the fuck makes you the expert on the F-22. You don't know shit from that skank that gave birth to you...You fucking Failure. I do happen to be an expert, I worked on it. And I do know the truth. Get a fucking education you Slavic low brow. Yea, and by the way....Blow me bitch!!

  • @electronicdawg Aww, is that a little girl crying? God, you pitiful apes are pathetic. All brawn, no brain. (Considering your metaphorical "Mum" pun, I'd say you failed in life. The level of immaturity is undeniable, to even suggest you were anywhere NEAR the Craptor F22).

You didn't work on the F22. But if you did, it makes the whole lot more sense why it's grounded and canceled. HAHA!

26.5 years aviation experience. 3 years commercial airline experience. Gag and snort licking it, poor sod.

  • @DigitalDNA I didn't know they let retard fly airplanes in russia. That enplanes why your SU's and migs are crashing all the time in air shows

  • @electronicdawg All the time? Ahh, Americunt. You just don't learn. I wonder what's bigger, your mouth or your asshole. Obamas been fair with you. :)

Judging your incompetence, Forest Gump had better IQ.

  • @DigitalDNA say hello to your brother ah, er your daddy for me will ya you inbred Slavic/Jew

  • @electronicdawg I have a feeling your IQ's dropping with every post. Got something silly to add you pitiful ape? :)

  • @electronicdawg you suck

  • @AlexanderTch Also I will applaud you for letting an Anti-Soviet and anti-communist comment on here.

  • @matts396 USSR collapsed not upon intself, but because of many enemies. Americans spent billion of dollars on propagandistic and psylogical warfare, besides they fed , paid much money to internal enemies of USSR , different stupid pro-american prostitutes and greedy bastards and also nationalistic anti-soviet organization. Same things they did to yugoslavia, they fed anti yugoslavian groups inside country and nationalistic cruel bastards like kosovs and croats.

  • Russian Technologies, the best in the world.

Americans are very proud and arrogant, they still believe that U.S. technology is better.

  • @MrSrgj That's because it overwhelmingly is....

  • @brentsrx7

    Thanks friend!

  • reminds of su T 50,; 141 one of them thats why Yak 141.., they kept the production

  • made USSR 1974 год выпуска

  • I bet the Kiev's would still be commissioned in the Russian navy had this extraordinary plane been put into production.... There was going to be an amphibious warfare variant of Kiev, but the project was shelved.

  • Lockheed consulted with the Yakovlev Design Bureau, purchasing design data from their development of the Yakovlev Yak-141 "Freestyle. Although several experimental designs have been built and tested since the 1960s including the Navy's unsuccessful Rockwell XFV-12, the F-35B is to be the first operational supersonic, STOVL stealth fighter.

silly russians with our superior military technology we perfected vtol.

  • @JrGuacamoles

your superior military technology can't get the F-35 airworthy with troubles upon troubles putting the whole project at risk of being simply canned one day if they don't get their sh*t together soon.

Your F-22s are also grounded at the moment.

  • @Suyamu who cares? i love you

  • @JrGuacamoles

    fair enough...

  • @Suyamu we cool then

  • @JrGuacamoles i love you

  • looks like the perfect bond plane

  • overall yes once again LH is ripping off the u.s. people for their product. For the time and money put into the f 35 she should have been much better and is not. the only sort term fixs is a f22 a this fixes the minor flaws and frame corrosion and paint flaking in rain. Then update her computer. Then replace the f 35 with the f 15 silent eagle as long as they didn't lie about her.

  • the Yak 141 could go Mach 1.4, the F-35 based on the same platform of the engine 20 freaking years later can only go Mach 1.6. America, what the hell?

  • @wellerocks when I watched the making of F35, someone said it was the first supersonic VTOL aircrafts, for the moment it seems they forgot the Yak 141 was supersonic

  • @emancoy yeah that's such bullshit. Maybe what they meant was that it's going to be the first ever to be put into service. The Dassault Balzac V was even before the Yak 141 and it had the capability to go Mach 2+

  • @wellerocks if they meant that, they shouldn't have claimed it at all. or perhaps cleared it up

  • @emancoy Yeah I can't do nothing but agree. Btw, I noticed you were from the phillipines. It's going to be intersting which fighter jet they might buy. Personally I hope the Gripen might become apart of the PAF.

  • @wellerocks foreign governments are trying to sell their second hand migs to our government, but unfortunately, PAF budget is dismal here, good thing nobody wants to invade the philippines

  • @emancoy Yak 38 forger was also supersonic.

  • @emancoy Maybe they meant 5th generation?

  • @emancoy That's ok. The F35's VTOL is based on the Yak 141 as the Americans hired the Russians to help out. Call it friendly "borrowing".

  • @emancoy too bad it wasn't a successful plane.

  • @Grimdopple funding dried out when the soviet union collapsed. So they were not able to mass produce it. So we will never know how it would do in air to air combat.

  • @emancoy yeah but see...the f-35 is actually making it into production

  • @wellerocks hello stealth was a key goal not just a vtol system.

  • @starknight97 Yeah although, the F-35 radar signature is somewhat that of a chicken, the F-22 that of a tiny bird and e.g. the Rafale and the Gripen is that of a falcon or a smaller eagle. And they both have Canards which has a very negative impact on stealth. So in my eyes, since the F-35 is even smaller than the F-22, so should its RCS be. Generally 5th gen fighters are defined as having air superiority, stealth and being able to supercruise. The F-35 cant supercruise or keep air superiority

  • @wellerocks Close to that of the old f 117 is the f 35 stealth not bad not great RCS. As far as who told you that the Rafale and the Gripen smaller the f 35 lied as it don't have the math or the tech of our stealth coating. they better then their old ones But not yet the f 117. As fare as flaws of the f 35 yes once she engages she too slow too get away no super cruise. The real reason it not smaller is the math of the airframe had too be sacked for it to be vtol and muti role.

  • Is there an ınformation on why YAK-141 project was cancelled which seems years ahead of JSF 35 project..

  • @oldes01 flight control computers were not advanced enough to safely control VTOL

  • Damn Russia! YOU SCARY :)

  • Damn Russia! YOU SCARY

  • Really cool aircraft. I've got to hand it to you Russia, that was one hell of an airplane long before its time. Good Job. Such a shame it didn't come through in reality.

  • faTHER OF THE F-35

  • Copying and learning some things from friends/competition is normal. It's called EVOLUTION :) everyone does it.

  • no it's the contrary

  • F-35 uses the technology of the Yak-141. If we look it this way every jet is the copy of the me-262 and the other first jets so it's pretty dumb to say that something is a copy, when everything is a copy of something...

  • Translation please...............or subtitles for a greek guy LOL

  • f-35 will outpreform this aircraft anyday, if you say that its a "copy" your a fucking idiot. its taking an idea and making it better

  • stfu stupid yanks if there were no Germans you wouldn't know what a jet plane is

  • really! you morons forgot about the HArrier jump Jet hah!!!.....RUSSIA likes to copy from everybody...hahahahahahaha...sorry bastards....one of the morons here told me to google it., so my question is.,If google says Jesus was/is BLACK..then , the russian would think that jesus came from RUssia...hahahahahahahahaha.....educate yourself Morons

  • Now how nice would've been if this vid would've had English subtitles? English is the unoversal youtube language, not Russian. Could you (Russians) just put English subtitles to your vids, so anyone could understand what a hell they're talking about?

  • "a copy"...where is this piece of shit now?...really! it's funny when russian claim that f35 is a copy...hahahahahahah...sore broke ass losers...just do what russia is good at..THAT is Whoring bzness

  • @ractyarc25 aaaa engine principe from Yak is used in F35. If not belive me google little. In 1991 LMartin and GElectric where in Yakovljev for testing Yah 141 engines and capabilites.

  • YAK-141 LATER HELP MADE F-35

  • @21boxhead ENGINEERS

  • You have got to hand it to the Russian aircraft designers. This is an amazing aircraft, ahead of its time. I know the harrier was first but the Yak 141 is Mach 1.4 capable. The Russians always build aircraft that can withstand harsh environments and hard landings. Brains over dollars, a lot to be said for that!

  • F 35 looks copy of YAK141 which wasmade 50 years back. Thrust vectoring is like F35

  • This plane is awesome. All it needs is today's best computers to automate the stability controls and you have an awesome Naval aircraft far superior to Harriers.

  • hm..some russian phd went to US it seems..I like that hot designer though..what part was she designing? The joystick?

  • every time I see one these things VTO, it reminds me of a baby horse learning to walk. It looks so unstable and dangerous.

I wasn't surprised when I found numerous videos of them crashing in vtol mode.

  • not pretty at all

  • UGLY BUT AWSOME PLANE

  • Yes, but if we did not sell the technologies to Americans now America would be in the Ass

  • But Russians sold related technology to America

  • could someone add english subtitle to this clip,

  • ehhehe ;)

  • Impressive plane!! One of my favourite planes!!

  • Что касается русского развития науки серьезного интеллектуального.

    И 35 он копия типа yak 141.

    viva rusia

  • Как меня удивляет смотреть как многотонная машина с виду похожая на миг-25(31) виит в воздухе и плавно маневрирует)) Красиво!

  • Rusian stealh the best

  • it is not stealth it a yak 141

  • yak comes 30 years before, russians are amazing!

  • hahaaha stupid americans.. i wuz wondering how they did it.. now i know they copied..lolzz

  • Wrong they didn't simply copy the failed aircraft, they BOUGHT the engine's (yes just the engine) design, took it, made it better, and added of course their superior technology :x oh , and made it look 10x better lol

  • don be dumb..u can just simply COPY everything.. u have to modify it.. plus jsf is stealth as well.. n yea. yak is 50's technology.. n jsf is latest.. so i thot ppl shud have a common sense n thats y i dint mention it.. but still its copy..

  • Who cares if it's a copy, if we're gonna start whining about who came up with what idea to shit on whatever first, then we all copied the wright brothers lol. Point is, Russian idea, American execution.

  • that wat im saying..its russia idea.. plus americans wont use it too..coz of large fuel consumption..

  • Actually, the Americans didn't copy the yak 141, because the people who made the yak 141 HELPED with the F-35.

  • link to the source please

  • They sold outtake nozzle docs only. That's it. F-35 uses very old design from 60-70th. SB3 or whatever it was called.

  • the yack came first

  • No, they didn't buy engine, they bought nozzle technology - engine is engine and nozzle is nozzle

  • If the Americans are so stupid then why is the Royal Navy (via BAe Systems) buying into it as well?

  • If you see a configuration that's good, you'd be a fool not to use it. The Russians have copied the Americans plenty of times.

The interesting thing is that neither the USN nor USAF is interested in this capability. They believe the added weight would be better spent elsewhere. USMC and several US allies (who don't have super carriers) are more interested in the capability. Thus, it isn't THE defining feature of the f-35.

  • Youre right, the USN and USAF don't care about STOVL. That's why the Air Force version uses just a conventional take off, and the Navy has sturdier landing gear, a tail hook, and larger wings and tail on their version. Initially, the defining feature was the thrust vectoring, but it was easily adapted for the other two services. The only real good things about it are that it's a stealth supersonic craft that's lighter and cheaper than the F-22 (but not by much).

Oh do I hate the 21st century.

  • From what I hear, the only good thing is stealth. Thrust weight ratio and wing loading are not good for the F-35. Some people speculate that it will be completely outmatched in instantaneous and sustained turning by modern European and Russian designs.

In order to use its stealth, it would have to use its internal weapons bays, which are substantially smaller than the f-22's. This would severely limit payload. Thus, its only advantage is only available when its not carrying much.

  • This begs the question whether stealth is compatible with the role of a light fighter/bomber. It already fails at cost effectiveness and sacrifices payload and maneuverability for stealth (or it becomes a bad plane).

Why doesn't the US just can the idea and design a fighter like the Gripen, Eurofighter, or Rafale to fill this role?

  • stupid america hahahaha f 35 copy 141 dumb

  • @BlinDonalts1 And Russia copy F-15,with mig-29 who came out after. And Lockheed coop with Yakolev to make the F-35 dumbshit!

  • @USMCjunior117

    "And Russia copy F-15,with mig-29 "

Sorry but MiG-29 is totaly different class. It isnt even FbW or dynamicaly unstable.

F-15 was countered by Su-27. Decision to make Su-27 was taken after F-15 prototype first flight. But Su-27 is NOT a copy of F-15 either - they in same class but totaly different design. Su-27 is a lot more advanced in anything

    rapidshare. com/files/278193018/Famous_Russian_Aircraft_Su_27. pdf

  • @MarshallJukov If the info is coming from you,I believe you.

  • @MarshallJukov MiG-29 is dynamically unstable but not FbW. All ultra maneuverable russian aircrafts are unstable.

F-15 is a copy of MiG-25, in which russian pilot escaped to Japan.

F-15 is a airsuperiority fighter - russian equivalent is Su-27

F-16 is a multirole fighter, frontline fighter - russian equivalent is a MiG-29.

  • @teknobug

"MiG-29 is dynamically unstable but not FbW"

FbW by itself does not gives any advantage in manuverability. it depends on exact implementation. Besides moderm MiG-29 (in particular MiG-35) are FbW

"F-15 is a copy of MiG-25, in which russian pilot escaped to Japan."

Actualy its not - its even different class of aircrafts. Besides F-15 has no such capabilities of speed and attitude.

  • @MarshallJukov I know that FbW doesn't make a great fighter :) Doesn't matter if you eilerons are moved by servos or hydraulics. Same with gauges. Most NATO fighter are in a public eyes more moderns because of LCD's etc. It really doesn't matter if your altitude is on a digital gauge or classical analog clock gauge, still it is an altimeter :) ... Some people duduct that NATO fighters are more advanced, better because of electronics :)

  • @teknobug

"Most NATO fighter are in a public eyes more moderns because of LCD's etc"

Exactly - they judge on their exterior and fancy advertising around it - mostly done by holywood fairytales.

But in fact we use LCDs for decades too.

Not to mention that LCDs become a problem in cold - just as all semiconductor electronics - at least at tech level of 60s-80s - not to mention its vulnerability to radiation and EM warfare compared to good old vacuum tubes

  • @MarshallJukov Electronics have gone a long way since 80s gentlemens. now get out of Siberian forest and leave behind your vacuum tubes TV and radios.

  • @phadil

Thats sounds funny dummie because USSR actualy the one who invented heterostructures and ternary computers, LED, TV, radio for example.

Just as i don`t see anything wrong with vacuum tubes and radio anyway. I`d like to see how any of your fancy LCDs will work at -40 celsium dummue

May be you need to pull your head out of your ass and really learn something?

  • @phadil You are another "troll" who cannot bear the facts.. and why are you suggesting vacuum pumps? you from malaisia? brothel of freaks? why you even opening your mouth? what are you trying to prove or say here? What the hell? Are you insane? Who do you think is going to believe you? Or at least to be on "your malaisian side"? you are pointless of my attention..

  • @teknobug

"F-15 is a airsuperiority fighter - russian equivalent is Su-27"

This equalent aren`t equal in fact. Its manuverability completely sux compared to Flankers - aspecialy with TVC, just as its airodynamics inferior too. Not to mention second L-band radar Flanker use.

F-16 is not competition to MiG-29 either - because of manuverability, HMS, two engines (reliability survivabiliy" R-73 e t c

F-16 actualy comparable to MiG-21-93 Bizon

  • @MarshallJukov Hard to say it that way. Su-27 and F-15 are nearly same old, same purpose. F-15 is also a good plane, not same maneuvrable as Su-27 but with powerful electronic. I know that Su-27 will hardly find a comparable plane in air.

Same with MiG-29, thus has two engines, it's purpose is same. Frontline fighter, for a short range, with A-G capabilities.

  • @teknobug

    "Su-27 but with powerful electronic."

Actualy its an ubiqitous myth that Russian avionics are somehow inferior to westren. in fact Su-27 enjoyed HMS and secondary L-band radar - while F-15 does not. Later i will give a link on very decent book about Flanker and you will see that its as more advanced over F-15 as F-22 over F4 Phantom

  • @teknobug

"Same with MiG-29, thus has two engines, it's purpose is same"

In fact MiG-29 has simply crushing advantage over F-16 in aircombat and two engines mean that if one fails - second allows you to get back to base anyway. If F-16 engine fails....

  • @BlinDonalts1 the F35 is a copy of the 141 because the 141 was a good design that was too far ahead of its time, the computers were not available at the time to safely control the vtol process, if the 141 program were restarted today it would be successful

  • @BlinDonalts1

Stupid Russian. LOL T-50 copy 22 dumbass.

  • @BlinDonalts1 The Yak 141 was funded by the Americans

  • @IwAtChViDeOz44

No, it was canceled than lockheed helped fund some tests which were for them

  • Вы оба написали про одно и то же вообще-то. Только смешного мало, какая разница кто что скопировал, главное наш был первым и не летает уже более 15 лет, а у них принимается на вооружение в нескольких модификациях.

  • @BlinDonalts1

In this video, is told that yak 141 was only one type. There was more advanced. But constructors come to decision to use simplest one.

  • f-35 is the copy of yak-141

  • Agreed...........

During the cool war BAE create HARRIER, its the copy of YAK........

  • @SpiridonovRU No, We bought the technology from Yak. Russia has copied way more technologies then the US. I mean waaaaay more. Read a book sometime. And not one that Russian propagandists wrote

  • @SpiridonovRU Lockheed & Yakolev worked together to make the F-35 design! There's a difference! And China & Russia copy Americas stuff..

  • Comment removed

  • @ryan0157 no no it wasn't tard

  • @starknight97 Although there are still lots of systems, updates and upgrades that we don't know about yet or that is to come, so the air superiority deal might change. But with the F-35A that Australia evaluated in more than 1000 battle scenarios through very advanced simulators, the F-35 would have a hard time dealing with Su-27's, Su-33's, Su-30MKI's, Su-35's and J-11's coming out victorious in around half of all scenarios. I like the potential of the F-35 but the real deal seems to have burst

  • @wellerocks Yes a big 1 that lets the f 35 still be a big air to air fight with super maneuverability is she no longer has too look at targets too fire she can shoot at any target and lock at 180deg off center. So it more the missile maneuverability. I have both rand guides the biggest 1 is how over number per cost of the su 27. the fact for what they pay vs the greater number of su 27. in sort it not worth the cost but they found with the f22 it balances out. that why the want the f22.

  • @wellerocks The second more highly guarded rand guide is a mock dog fight over hy islands of the best close range fighters. this 1 shows the that su 35 was off the scale not even the f 22 matched it. The words they use for the f 35 was "the su 35 looked like it was beating baby seals" yet the guide was faulty cause the f 35 fire off 180deg to angle was not added. yet the Russian have the greater maneuverability as of the su35 and up.
