How interesting to hear a Harry Weldon recording at long last. At one time he was one of Fred Karno's army along with Charlie Chaplin. When I was a child I met his daughter, Maisie Weldon and her husband Carl Carlisle when they were entertaining in South Africa, so I have always been interested in Maisie's illustrious father. Thanks so much for another fascinating upload.
Thats fascinating Jean. Typical of me to love such an obscure (Today) performer!. Nobody today will remember him and there is probably no one alive today who saw him. I treasure his recordings anyway!.Thanks for that memory.
I have seen this clip, which must have been done when she was very young. Maisie and her husband, Carl Carlisle settled in Australia in the fifties. I would be interested to know what happened to them.
I will never forget him for I too am a Harry Weldon!

There is a clip of Maisie Weldon on the British Pathe site and she does an impression of her father.

Great to hear Harry Weldon on You Tube at last. Sadly, Harry like so many other of the early Music Hall artiste's is all but forgotten to-day.
