  • The wigs are cute! The costumes are unique. I love the makeup! The coreography is wonderful. Mungojerrie's singing and dancing are beautiful his facial expressions are adorable- It's just...Rumpelteazer, her dancing is good, it's just her singing isnt that strong it's either too huskly at points then it's too high. But overall, I like it :D

Who cares if they didnt do the accents!? I mean not EVERY production has to have the accents

  • @Mittensshnookums We designed and painted our own unitards for this production.

  • @MrPhilMTguy

I love them :) Very unique!

  • as a student at NESA (North East School of the Arts) in Texas whos currently working on this production, i give it a "meh" for most of the reasons others have given

  • LMFFFFAO 3:13

  • good accent, somtimes a bit rough. the music was to fast at the end though.

  • good performance, except for the set is supposed to be a JUNKYARD in LONDON back in the older days, not in an alley in modern day New York.

  • No. They Have no harmony whatsoever, and don't even make a good attempt at the accent.

  • very true

  • just because the people had accents in the movie doesn't mean that the people in other shows have to have accents! this is fair compaired to other performances and DEFINITLEY beats the last US tour!

  • Actually rumple should be a bit to high in her song and I rather would say its to low to make a purrfect accent when the tempo pick up... Johan.

  • this is awesome!!!

  • ESA = Etobicoke School of the Arts in Toronto, Ontario.

  • I LOVED IT!!!

  • 3:15 "..or Rumpleteazer" was good, but the rest solo's by Rumpleteazer were waaaaay high!

  • not bad^^

  • it was amazing but you guys shouldve used the english accents it just sounds more natural like that

  • maybe to you but that's probably because you're used to the movie version

  • you could hear them getting tired in their voices but come on...with the dancing it'd happen to anybody! very good performance

  • thts why my school had gumbie cat sing it haha, but the kids in my scool who played these characters did the cartwheel thing like the movie characters it was so cool. i was exotica

  • what year was this taken

  • 2007

  • really great job!!

  • Honestly, this is the best video I''ve seen of a school production (and I've seen alot).

  • That was really, really good! Both of them were awesome singers, and the part at the end with the sticks were awesome!

Speaking of which, I love that you used the sticks all the way through. I've actually never seen that done before.

  • the kid playing mungojerrie is a really good singer.

no offense to rumpleteazer, she's really good too, his voice just stood out a bit more.

  • they made it their own,

    it was pretty good.

the stick thing at the end was super impressive.

    props.

  • didn't you ppl watch the video enough to remember mungojerri is on the left of the stage when faceing it not the right. get the props right

  • mungojerri and rumpleteazer is the title not mungojerri

  • erm, I may be wrong but isn't:

When the family assembles for sunday dinner

Their mind made up...dedadadeda(I can't be bothered to put it all on)

    Before:

When the ___ window is found agar(spelt wrong)

and the basement looks like a field of warren(wrong?)

    ???

  • yeah this is actually like super bad.

    haha..

since when did they have sticks???

  • i know! why do they...?

  • I am looking at the poem right now and the family assembles for sunday dinner is the third verse and the window found ajaor is the first verse.

  • very nice! the ending butterflies looked like they had enough power to make them bigger, though...but fabulous acting singing...all that jazz!

  • they changed the lyrics

  • Not really...the video version cut out a verse that they included in this version. I think this was pretty good: they did the whole song and they didn't just copy the dacning from the video!

  • It is very good.

    Bravo ;)

  • aww...the poor thing having to do the leading stuff because she's tall, lol, as a tall girl I can say from experience: it sucks.

  • WOW!! There good!!

I REALLY liked the guy that played Mungojerrie, he's my favourite in this production!!

  • Wonderful voices!!!!!!!!!

  • hahah...mungo's shorter than teazer...excellent coreography though!

  • Nice job! Amy reminds me a bit of Carol Burnett here, I don't know why. It's cute!

  • Very good performance! Just as good as Jo Gibb and Drew Varley!

  • I really enjoyed that choreography, I must say!

  • wow loved it! great voices and choreography!

    deff. broadway stars!

  • ESA as in Etobicoke School of the Arts?

  • EXCELLENT! Best student job I've seen! They got real tired quickly though..... Side note! Amy Hunter is TALL!!!!

  • This was closing night... we were all exhausted. SUCH a rewarding show though.

  • This was really great! The accents would have been good in the song, yea, but u still did good!!!

  • i like the english accents better

  • Good choreography. Easy to hear when they started getting out of breath. I like how she was the one picking HIM up more often. Nice little twist from a typical routine.

  • This was, different

    :]

In a good way, I promise

    I love the costumes ;D

  • why does his leg always go higher than hers? lol. Work dude.

  • They need the accent!!!!!

  • We were originally going to be doing it with the accent, butthe director asked us not to do it in the accent... so don't ask me why. I was just the actor.

  • We were originally going to be doing it with the accent, butthe director asked us not to do it in the accent... so don't ask me why. I was just the actor.

  • LOL, they giggle like stoners!

  • I think that was a really good performance

  • They're Canadian not American

    But great job you guys!

  • i think i like them better with an english accent. its sounds better with an accent.. its too harsh in an american accent

  • you guys are fantastic!

love the originallity of the moves, and you both have lovely voices. encouraged me to do a mungo/teazer lipsynch for our production class (we don't have the budget to do cats, sadly).

but congrats to both of you!

wish i could have seen this live!

  • ....the boy did a good job, not so much on the girl's part...she kinda killed Rumpelteazer.

  • I agree. I dont like the way she said 'teazer' on Rumpelteazer.

  • very nice ^^!!

  • This is cute. Are you a college or community theatre group?

  • We're a high school. :-)

  • Really. Well great job! My high school could have never done cats that well.

  • it was when i was in highschool

im not studying musical theatre performance in college

  • You're not? WTF?

  • Omg i totally did a HUGE typo..

I AM studying musical theatre performance in college.

  • Phew. That's a relief. Looking forward to seeing you perform again.

  • when rumple laughed(she usually giggles) i feel out of my chair!LOL!

  • Phil is acctually my favourite cat, exellent job

  • well of course there not the real thing but still the girl had the singing wrong and they should had have a little bit more dancing i'm not talking shakira but make it a little better

  • Phil and Amy were absolutely fantastic in ESA's production of CATS! They pulled this off amazingly, I'm surprised none of them fainted after!

  • We almost did faint afterwards every night. I was supposed to sing backstage for "Old Deutoronomy" after we exited stage, and I hardly had the breath to talk.

  • (this is Phil, btw, I am on my friend's account)

  • SOOOOOOOOOOOOO DREADFUL!

  • HELL NO!!! HELL OF ALOT DIFFERENT..OK i guess

  • I do Like the boy better than the girl but the girl is still very good

  • I mean slower

  • The music is far too fast is a bit faster. The girl is bad but the boy is alot better. This song is one of my faveourites and I think these people let it down a little.

  • Well dont expect everything to be perfect. This was a good performance. Nicely done by highschool students including the pit orchestra. I would kno, im a student at the school.

  • Not bad! He's a good signer.

  • wow u guys are good!

  • you two are soo amazing!

almost as good as jo and drew^^

    i love you two.

  • i just want to give ya'll props on this. I love the fact that it's not your usual choreography! i love it! GREAT JOB. Let Mungo and Teazer know they have a fan.

  • This is Mungojerrie :)

    Thanks for the comments!

  • Are you really? Well then a very good job to you! I thought you were one of the better Mungos I've seen. My compliments also to your choreographer, I was impressed by the routine.

  • It's great! And i must say it's very nice to see a performance of this song with different choreography! Well done. I love this song with a burning passion!!

  • love the singing, but i don't really love the costumes as much.

  • wow. this is AMAZING.

inspiration for me, seeing as i want to get the rumpleteazer in our theater's production. you guys are insanely talented. love mungo's voice and he's pretty cute as well. great job guys! :]

  • Wow, that was wonderful! They both did such an amazing job! I really laughed a lot at their adorable facial expressions, too. =D

  • this is great!!!! phil, you're awesome!

p.s. mungojerrie has a HUGE package. way to go.

  • some tempo problems. but it was good.

  • Wow this is great! Are you guys in a performing arts high school?

  • I still have this song stuck in my head and I blame you Phil... awesome job though you guys!!

  • YAAA AMY!!!!

    YAAA PHIL!!!!!
