My daughter has a Stabyhoun. They are probably the best all purpose hunting dogs around! They can point, flush, and retrieve! There is no dog like a Stabyhoun. My daughter's Stabyhoun is black and white with roan markings, just like the mama dog, but more roan. They are currently waiting to be AKC recognized. The Stabyhoun has been assigned the Sporting Group designation. Stabyhoun translates from the Dutch (sta-me-bij-hond) as "Stand-By-Me-Dog" and is pronounced: Stah BAY hoon.
my brothers wife adopted a stabyhoun from a shelter in adrian mi, i have no idea where she came from, i know they're a rare breed so i dont know how she ended up in a shelter. these a the most beautiful dogs ive ever seen.
I got one Stabyhoun....13 year old...i never found someone with male stabyhoun to have puppies :( Now its to late for that :( . But if u ask me stabyhoun is best dog u can have.
ive also a staby, hes 12 years now, kinda old but hes still playfull, if hes gone, im gonna buy 2 husky's

The Stabyhoun or Stabij is a rare dog breed that just like the Wetterhoun originates from Friesland, a province in the North of the Netherlands.
