  • nina simone "sinner man" - timbaland "oh timbaland"..

  • 3:00 WHOOHAH!!!!!!!! I Got You All In Check!!!!

  • hip hop be sampling some white ass music.... both of it still raw.

  • Great finds!!!!

  • lol sirbreakalot1 works as a youtube troll fulltime payed by justin.tv

  • THE ONLY REASON I DISLIKED THIS IS CAUSE THEY DELETED THE AALIYAH SAMPLE, SORRY BUT IM A FAN AND SHE WAS THE ONLY REASON I CAME HERE

  • just to add my point...... i 'sample' music as a starting point!!! i then f**k about with it & abuse it until it sounds like the way i want it to!!! re-pitch, chop up, distort, filter, modulate etc!!! that is the 'art' of sampling!!! taking someone's riff, melody, theme wholesale and adding a 'beat' to it isn't an artform, it's lazy, unimaginative and plain theft!!! it's an insult to the musicians who recorded the original.... like adding a new beat, it's like saying the drummer is sh*t!!!

  • PUT IT ON BIG L PUT IT ON COME ON

  • "what's the difference" and "Big Pimpin" are both interpolations rather than samples

  • Oh, Blu Cantrell also sampled #11

  • Number 12 is also sampled by Timbaland on his Album Shock Value

  • i love music-ahmad jamal is also sample by preemo jeru da damaja - me or the papes

  • yesssa epmd sampled an italian!!!!! fuck yes

  • Damn Dr. Dre looks cock diesel as fuck at 5:45!

  • Lol @ 2:56... thas the oldest baby ive ever seen lol

  • @arkitecktah rotfl you read my mind. lmao

  • I thikn nina simone is the best singer n has the best songs to samples

  • @rrr31

Didn't know you had self-acclaimed rights to the meaning of the lyrics. "Big pimpin is a satire of the glorification of gangstah life" according to you and not Jay-z and thats fine by me.My interpretation IS a little different from yours, but nonetheless should we argue of the content in his lyrics but we should put focus on the music, the beat per se. I still stand by what I've previously stated for the quite simple fact that it IS the truth. God bless you and your ignorance!

  • God damn, That "The world is yours" sample would bring a tear to my eye, if I wudn't a fuckin' cyborg!

  • @TheVinceLyons shit is deep

  • I knew madlib sampled daedelus' song becasue i've heard both songs, and daedelus was in the music video for accordion.

  • @rrr31

alot of profanity in your comment, and as usual no facts behind your absurd statements just your distorted point of view. Well ignorance is obviously spreading through your street like it was a pandemic, count yourself blessed among the "infected" once. A person must have a certain amount of intelligent ignorance to get anywhere, that's for sure, but you my friend have to much of it so you'll get nowhere and that's also for sure sure!

  • It's good to hear these samples with out someone jumpin around and actin a fool describing them!!

  • @jwh1999 ahaaha that dude is a DOUCHE...

  • Man I love that Big L joint haha

  • OMG Crazy! Wow Some times I wonder where some of these Dj's find there music and when I find that it is a sample of a old song I just sit and say WOW where do they find them. And in a way it gives new life to the song cause now me or whoever else is seeing this will go and look for the song at in turn its rebirthed. But I do hope that all the artist that get there songs sampled get there cut of the money it would seems right for the time and countless hours they put into the song!

  • 3:25 busta lmfao crazy bastard

  • I dislike Jay-z and Timbaland just for them to claim the intellectual rights to songs made by others, as Khosara By Abdel Halim Hafez. What they are doing is not samling but it's just a re-recording of the music. To rightfully do so they have to get the rights from the original maker of that music, and trust me that would never happen. Such a shame that a beautiful lovesong from the 60's is stolen and made to song about big pimpin, what a shame. R.I.P Abdel Halim Hafez your legacy lives on!

  • Beautifully said, sirbreakalot1

  • yeah but if they don't give rights then the sampling artists obviously get's in trouble right? of course jay-z bought rights to use it.

  • @ABTheBeatmaker

The unquestionable fact is that he didnt buy the rights from the artist/recordcompany, in other words theft. Sorry to say but that is simple and plain, and if you want to get in to a legal argument please be my guest, but plz once you've tried to walk that road I will be there calling your bluff! Truth will prevail!

  • @sirbreakalot1 You're completely missing the point, I couldn't give 2 shits about Timbalands case, I'm just sick of people calling Sampling theft when most producers do their best to stay out of the legal limbo and pay royalties.

  • @sirbreakalot: Hafez' grandson stole a plane and flew it into the WTC. you have your revenge, Muhammad.

  • @fooloof You're comment is almost to ridiculous to comment, but I must reply since It is the right thing to do. You're a true ambassadeur for your country, stupid, arrogant and a rascist. A shame that people around Europe think that people like you are true representetives of U.S.A, I know better and will not judge a whole nation on the basis of one stupid act/person (i.e YOU)

  • @sirbreakalot1: i'm glad you got that out of your system. Best.

  • @sirbreakalot1 it's not re-recording, it's reinventing. Would you get mad at a chef putting his twist on a dish? It was good, now it's better. not always but with the right producer, it's amazing. If it wasn't for them, most people wouldn't even mention Abdel Halim Hafez or even known he existed. no hate, just fact. r.i.p.

  • @sirbreakalot1 all salute 2 u bro u are a legend also ur comment is worth a million, u sure know abt real music

  • @sirbreakalot1 its takes skill to sample you loser.....stop being a hater....lol

  • @sirbreakalot1 ok obviously u need some teaching dawg, lotta people say it's not sampling, I myself am not a big fan, or like at all Jay z n timb, but one thing i do say is Sampling is taking stuff from another song *wether it's re recording or choppin it up* and puttin em into your own style OR adding stuff to it so you can make another song, sampling is choppin up or recycling beats or lyrics from another song, now if you re rap someone elses lyrics, that's bitin, if you take their voice and

  • @sirbreakalot1 add it to your beat, that's sampling, what timb n J r doin is sampling, but they don't chop it up, I don't get why ppl get offended, ok saying they claim rights is wrong thats fucked, but using it isn't jacking, if using another song for their own cut is jacking then erybody who makes beats is a thief but its not, it's sampling,, regardless, i know it's a year late 2 tell u this so u probly already know what I just told you.

  • You see how I hit the LIKE-button on your comment, I did it since your comment made my day, swear to god laughed a full minute,"ok obviously u need some teaching DAWG" eureka you had a moment there, but the one whom needs to be schooled is you, the only problem is I dont know where 2 start, timeing is crucial but time is valuable, and I will not invest no more on you! For lessons to be schooled read all my comments and try to reflect upon them, hopefully you'll get some insight

  • @sirbreakalot1 What they are doing is not sampling but it's just a re-recording of the music?

1, re- recording something is called sampling

2, they dont have to get the rights from the artist, they have to get the rights from the company that distributed the music, most artists dont mind ther music being sampled...i dont care what anyone say's, sampling is an art form wether you like it or not, like when you take a photo, you didnt make everything in the shot

  • @militaryminded85

Well unfortunately your whole approach is kind of obscure, you simplify something abstract in to a sentence or two and there you go problem solved, in your own little world none the less right? wrong! I would say in your world the end justifies the means (or i would say your ends justify your own selfish needs without taking account the counterpart aka reaction)

  • ...and as your ridiculous nickname imply; that you are MILITARY minded, while I believe that one of the best thing a man can do is to boycott the army and refuse the militaryservice and let the corrupted "system"fight their own sinister/corrupted/evil/etc etc/ war...

  • I am an ambassadeur of HIP HOP and sampling has since its early days been a big part of the scene, but stealing it without asking for permission is stealing a theft in my book, no matter how you moraly want to justify it all by saying that sampling is another word for re-recording. Don't get it twisted and stop with your blatant ignorant biased views, the general apathy of the ordinary man has definately you included.

  • @sirbreakalot1 ok you win....hay everyone!, lets stop listening to hip hop because sirbreakalot1 says its wrong.

and we should stop listening to the beatles and basicly 90% of motown because they covered other peoples songs and we should stop listening to the "original" artists too because they took lyrics from ancient celtic poetry...whats that?, you dont care?, you just like to listen to music?, that seems fair, sorry sirbreakalot1, you and a petty minority are on your own,

  • @militaryminded85

You are full of contradictions, but no mystery to solve, a fake is a fake and your falsehood sheds light all over your ridiculous comments. You talk nonsense since you simply avoid the facts and the questions I've raised, reading your comments is almost like a neoyoutubish-comments á la fox news, full of meaningless drone vocabulary, a puppet with no originality to it nor the sense of understanding its a puppet and that somebody else is pulling the strings...

  • You are a little man in the sense of poor intellect that just to make some meaning of all the clutter in your brain grasp on to pathetic arguments, your argumental tactic needs to be switch since you go off the chart when it comes to being off topic. Timbaland is a stealer of beautiful music and still to this day claim the artistic rights to the song with Abdel Halim Hafez without paying royalties, and this my petty little boy is and always will be artistic theft in my and every sane mans book..

  • @sirbreakalot1 when i read your posts, i get a sense of narcissistic tendencies as in by you using intellectual words makes you believe yourself to be an intellect and far superior to most people , education and intuition are two completely different things. just because you may be educated, it doesnt mean that you are intelligent.

you have to understand that if it wasnt for timbo and jay z, these artists songs would be lost forever.

so to me, jay z and others HAVE payed out

  • @sirbreakalot1 , case & point if you don't like hip hip you shouldn't be on this video. How exactly did you find this vid anyway? trolling again?

  • Respond to this video... and another thing sirbreakalot1, you should just be thankful you wasn't born deaf, im sure their's plenty of deaf people in this world more deserving of hearing than you, you wouldn't see them complaining about such pettiness

  • @sirbreakalot1 yes i dislike when artists make it seem like they are creating a "new" song when they use that much beat sample. a small sample or loop i could see but it's basically the same thing. not very creative and somewhat lazy imo

  • @sirbreakalot1 Ayo........FUCK U its called HIP HOP

  • Damn, pretty much if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

  • lol thats so funny to see that old white guy & then that 40's white guy & know they contributed to some badass 90's hip hop songs

  • Abdel Halim Hafez is by far far far the best EVER

  • Nas The World Is Yours

    Produced by Pete Rock

  • OMG! Not even the "Lightworks" jingle is sacred!!! --- "The name of the game is yoooou, baby!"
