I am married and I have thought about what I would do if my wife were raped and she got pregnant. First of all, I would love my wife and that child and consider the child as my own. I would raise that child with all the love I would give my own natural children. Why? Because it isn't the child's fault. The child doesn't know the why's. The child only knows that he/she needs to be loved, to be safe in the arms of its parents. Why should I make the child pay for the sins of another?

Adoption is NOT an option for those who are pregnant. At the moment of conception, the mother is raising the baby, and doesn't have to raise it if she does not want to, but since adoption is impossible at pregnancy, abortion is the only option. I understand there are parents who want to adopt, I can tell them to adopt a child from a third world country. It does the world a hell of a lot better.

To force a woman victim to raise a child is far more unacceptable than to watch her be harassed by the pro-life movement and the government. You can't produce an infant after birth, but you can reproduce a fetus, since it is in the production phase.

Actually, the woman would feel ostracized since society would condemn the right to pursuit of happiness for a rape victim. You should also realize that there is science behind the human emotion/psyche and not just whether a fetus is alive, dead, or in stasis during pregnancy.

I also support the right to have sexual freedoms as long as it does not involve giving partners sexual diseases. I also support the freedom to have unprotected sex because the two have different experiences.

I don't know if I would say that a true mother would die for a fetus-infant, because that means they wouldn't raise the child then. And not every woman would risk their life for a fetus, because sometimes both of them can die, the mother first and then the child, and then dying wouldn't have been a worthwhile cause.

Actually there is a much lesser chance of a mom dying during an abortion than during pregnancy or giving birth, since giving birth involves losing blood. Sometimes it is better to preserve the mother's life over the fetus/embryo if we find out she has the wrong blood type when in comparison to the fetus's. Sometimes during birth the placenta breaks open, or even in pregnancy. The mother should always come first because she can reproduce, and then we focus on the fetus.

I did some research and found that there is no clause mentioning that unborn children of all stages hold the 'inalienable rights'. Basically, you can't illegalize abortions unless you can include unborn children as part of the preamble to the Constitution, though this has been proposed. There is nothing you can do about the legality of abortion unless you first propose and support unborn children being recognized as part of the U.S. Constitution.
