CR now does a tool for the pivot pin.Also regarding the knife I am getting one of these very soon,but you also mentioned Strider-hell I have a SMF it sucks compared to CR knives,they just can't compare to Chris's knives.

Always pop the glass close to the frame as it breaks allot easier. When you hit it in the centre there is a degree of flex which can obsorb the strike. I might get one of these once the new one comes out, apparantly it has a 'wat ya ma call it' that stops you bending the lock bar over too far like the striders have. cool vid.

What a sexy knife. The only thing I don't like about it is the little rubber(?) rings on the thumb studs that makes it quiet when you open it. I really love the distinctive clank a titanium handle knife makes when you open it, and this is actually designed not to have it. :o(

Is the pivot on the Umnumzaan as smooth and "ball-bearing" like as the Sebenza?

That's not how Chris Reeve pronounces it. I heard him on a podcast interview where he talks about the knife.

after 2 monts of carrying the umnumzaan I find the sebenza much more comfortable to use,especially unlocking the liner lock. the umnunzaan needs the the liner cut cut more to allow your finger to unlock it. IMO

The Umnumzaan is a bit more robust. I agree I find myself using the Sabenza more than my Umnumzaan.

Ok, but once you have handeled the knife and used it you'll see why I love this knife. I know this knife isn't for everyone. I still love my Wal-mart knives, they are more practical for EDC. Always enjoy your input.
