I loved Southbeach! especially the pavement cafes on Ocean Drive and the 1930's boutiques and cool pastels and neons. Totally fab! I was lucky to spend a whole month there! Would definitely recommend it.

The main problem with South Beach are the people. They all pretend to be what they're not, talk garbage, pretend they're rich, will try and sell you anything from drugs to a tall story about how wealthy they are "back home'.

Also avoid the restaurants on Ocean Drive. Mostly overpriced and not very good. In fact, practically everything in South Beach is overpriced, but there are some good hotels at reasonable prices, and some delicious, but expensive restaurants (none of them on Ocean Drive).

south beach was awesome. i stayed their for 3 weeks with a friend, on 41st on collins, we would bus it down to southbeach every night, if you go, checkout the bar b que place near CVS pharmacy, theirs also a cigar shop that does awesome hooqah and happy hour on beers.
