  • ok the nfl used to be tough maybe twenty years ago when u were allowed to hit someone without a penalty...rugby nowadays is like what the nfl used to be...the difference is with rugby you are allowed to destroy people without worrying about a 50k fine...

  • 2:34 HIT STICK!

  • @xSzRedemption: it takes more stamina to do a stop and go sport because the body adjust to the stopping and you get tired quicker. Also pads add extra weight so its harder to run this also requires more stamina and strength, football is the more difficult sport less blood but it is harder.

And I have played both at my school.

  • rugby, the only time when it is cool to be a hooker!

  • Nfl vs. rugby if nfl didnt use pads definetly nfl because nfl are actualy using strategy rugby doesnt

  • @shadow51saa you're a moron for thinking rugby doesn't use strategy, play the game before you knock it idiot.

    p.s, NRL ftw.

  • The next Artest to run up in yo stand?

    Ron arrest and the fight

  • football dominates this little girl's sport. god i hate rugby thats why i quit

  • @jamatune22 I love football but lets be honest. Football came from rugby, and last time I checked the rugby players didnt need pads and helmets to protect themselves.

  • @jamatune22

Little girls sport? AHAHAHAHA. Oh dear my friend... I promise you a fight between Sonny Bill Williams (New Zealand numbe 12 - and ex pro boxer) vs any footballer of your choice, Sonny Bill WILL come out on top. Actually, I bet you that the smallest rugby player could have the biggest footballer in a fight.

  • @HenryBJuer ill tell u what, bring you pussy ass players and ill bring ray lewis, james harrison, and brian urlacher. looke those guys up and then tell me who's tough.

  • @jamatune22 The tough one would be the ex New Zealand champion boxer....

  • @jamatune22

Woah man. I thought you meant soccer! I'm from the U.K so to me football is soccer! I kind of agree on your comment with the fact that they're big, but they wear pads and shit... and they never fight.

  • grid iorn is more intence for 7 seconds. rugby games go on for like 40 min none stop as hard as a man can go. i am american and i have played for 2 years as a scrum half. i play whole game of rugby and the football players are the ones that get substituted.

  • Ive played football (and rugby for a season) and my cousin played football for five years and rugby for three. Serious injuries are far mor common in football because of the style of play. As for gear only about 35% of the body is actually covered, rib cage, arms, legs below knees, entire back of the legs, and lower back are all completely exposed. No disrespect they're both tough sports.

  • gridiron is more intense, just saying.

  • @Aznrykerz It's really not! Having played both, Rugby Union is so much more intense then gridiron!

  • Best sport period.

  • American sports not catching on anywhere else is largely a matter of geography. The same principle applies with rugby and Cricket in the US. People are people and if one sport is truly better it will be recognized by all people as such, however that's if the game has been properly introduced into the culture. If children in England were brought up around both American football and rugby and the same for American children you would have mixed opinions in both cultures as to which is better.

  • @suivatra123

What you say about the size of rugby players is just wrong mate, the smallest player in the England world cup squad (albeit we were shit) weighs in at 200lbs with the majority of the squad being 250lbs plus

  • The hardest hits were the illegal punches....

  • I've seen bigger hockey hits then Most of these...

  • @SSHSBruin2

Yeah but they are behind 50cm of protection...

  • It's funny because the amricans wouldn't plays us in 2009 for a friendly beacuse the wern't aloud pads !!!!

  • what if the NFL didnt use pads?...

  • @NadzBuster They'd be dead. Or in comas.

  • here comes the boom!

  • 0:19 is possibly the best thing i've ever seen. Shaking in my pj's.

  • ouch

  • I question the legality of half off those tackles

  • This video sucks, Ive seen hundreds of harder hits in American Football!!!

  • @LlpzJr But Rugby has the size of NFL players with the fitness of Football (Soccer) players. Yes the NFL does have some hard hits but the game is far more stoneage and basic. Where as rugby there are so many more rules that people don't realise and understand.

Also going back to American Football, America is the only country in the world that thinks that it is a good sport.

  • @xSzRedemptiion If you only knew how many rules there are in the NFL, you would be amazed, I guarantee theres twice as many rules in NFL than Rugby....

  • @xSzRedemptiion No way, the Canadian Footba.... oh I forgot, they're not a real country. Silly me. Point taken!

  • @LlpzJr shut up

  • im surprised that the injury rate for rugby is so low

  • Soccer creates fags

    Rugby creates men

  • Feels good to be a man

  • i like penis

  • Epic video mate some awesome tackles who ever does not like this video is a girly puffta

  • this song makes absolutely no sense, but is fantastic with the vid

  • Soccer Player: "It's all in the precision and timing... Feather touch, feather touch..."

Gridiron Player: "You go here, I'll throw here. He goes there, then I go here..."

Rugby Player: "COME AT ME, BRO!"

  • @MrNauran its true tho

soccer requires speed an finesse that lots of other sports lack or dont require to be successful at

  • Comment removed

  • @PS3core: they have the stamina of a soccer player but not size of an nfl player prolly not the strength either they all run 15-25mph with pads, and push and throw 200-300lb men the whole time.

  • @suivatra123 You say 200-300lb men, and yes there are people in the NFL who weight that much.

But i watched the superbowl last year & loads of the players had their guts hanging out, yes some rugby players are the same, but they have a lot less body fat.

In the NFL with the games being so stop start it dosen't really need that much fitness if you only work for 20seconds at a time.

Where as a EG a Flanker has to be around the corner at every ruck ready to smash any guy fucking with it.

  • 1:25 (The hardest of the lot)!

  • I played American Football at the highschool level for 4 years and have delivered some big hits...as well as taking many big hits my self. I will say Rugby is on a different level...

  • if i had a dollar for every pixel in this video i would be in debt by 100 dollars.

  • @jamesthesuperdude Can you see the hits? Then stop complaining fag.

  • 1:12 like a feather :D

  • 2:33 Tackle Denied

  • 43 people play golf ;P

  • I love to whatch American Football more but Rugby is alot more hardcore, you got the conditioning of a soccer(football) player with the size/strength of an American football player....its insane.

  • 1:09 fuckin deleighted johnson you fuckin ugly cunt

  • This video should be this song's official music video.

  • Nekk minute boom

  • Did you record this with a sponge?

  • FUCK ME, cant everyone just calm the FUCK DOWN!

  • I love the one at 2:37.

    He fucking nails him

  • i just want to say as a football player for a D1 school and someone who plays rugby with friends, i dont think rugby is more intense. but on the same token, rugby sure as hell aint less intense. im sure there are talented players in both sports. i think both sports are different. so, seriously, i came to the video to see men get shit hit out of them. not to participate in a stupid argument trying to compare two games that are totally different and have no way to suitably compare both, just sayin

  • @bucass u have obviously never had the balls to say that to an actual rugby player cause your still alive..... Typical football player

  • he grabs the mans dick att 3.37-3.40 hahahaha XD

  • the josh lewsey hit always gets me pumped

  • 2:16, nice one Tindall!!!!!

  • sik great video mate

  • if you're gonna say stupid shit like football is more manly the rugby just fuck off and dont comment

  • @brian84hay You don't even play rugby I bet, so stfu... Rugby is a dumb sport period! Since it's such a great sport to all you goons, then give me 5 good reasons why it's a great sport! Rugby is just football, basketball, and soccer; put together. Can't even make a sport without taking ideas from others! Shame...

  • @DailyFletch 6yo stfu are you on the Canadian national u17 rugby team? didnt think so, and rugby was around way before football or basketball right around the same time as soccer, what sport do you play badminton darts? get your facts straight fuck tard

  • @DailyFletch Fuck you, rugby is an amazing sport, its original. You have to be flipping fit to play that monster of a sport. Fuck you, what do you know. Play the sport watch it. Its flipping nice.

  • 1:43 did a tooth fly out?

  • I remember when bebo was the thing and everyone at my school had this video on their profile page

  • whats the song name??? Shazam has let me down

  • these tackles are more like double bazgars in wrestling than wrap up and bring down tackles

  • this video makes soccer and footbal players look like monster fags...

  • @jokamxw football aint no fag its basically rugby with pads dont fuck with football unless u play it

  • Nice to see a lot of these are England lads. 1:22 PAYBACK.

  • iv watched this 100000000000 times never gets old

  • Im English and Im not boasting but... Some of those tackles we're beast!

  • pause at 3:40 the one dude is holding... well u firgue it out

  • you CAN like both American Football and Rugby i know i like them both, so if you actualy took the time to watch a full game of rugby you would realize that you would more than likley love it

  • Rugby = 80 Mins of a great battle no protecction.

American Football = 10 Secs of action inside an armor followed by a o2 can.

  • @n1das Ignorance is alive and well.

  • Yeah yeahhy

  • Please most Football players are built. These rugby squats are skinny.

  • hey people stop hating on american football..... rugby is way more hardcore but that doesnt mean you gotta call all the people who play american football a pussy.... now if they say rugby is lame bullshit then just go to town on them... i mean i play american football...ive had some injuries but i will agree that rugby is fucking hardcore... and also there both man sports just saying...

  • 240p we meet again...

  • Rugby no pads just balls

  • im american and ill just say it... rugby is much more hardcore... other americans that support football probably dont have the balls to play rugby

  • Ahah Love The Way Most Of The Are England Smashing People Into Pieces!! :)

  • this sport needs helmets!

  • @ProjectedGaming21 another gay chick? helmets? we are MEN, thats it

  • @iCopyYourVideos Im a guy u idiot so go fucking crack ur skull open!

  • here com da boom mon

  • im in high school my teacher plays rugby i play street foot ball and i skate ive seen fucked up hit but damn this is hard....much respect to those who can take a hit he is starting a rugby program and i might sign up cuz ive watched a couple of games and this seem hard but it seems like advance football

  • All these american football supporters talking big, when the real truth is that rugby is a proud Celtic sport that half you yanks wouldn't know anything about.

  • I have played both for my county and region at rugby and football and have played and enjoyed both for years but without question it does take a more physically and mentally stronger individual to go through the hammering you take in rugby, you just have to get on with it and play hard. I think you'll find that William Webb Ellis invented the game of rugby in 1823 at Rugby school and yes you do have to tackle as hard as you can otherwise as you end up getting hurt!!!

  • NFL players are bigger then backs but the same as forwards

  • Ok heres the thing both sport are awesome, but still Football takes technique and plays, here as while Rugby, is just all out, and yes Football ia better than Rugby, because in this game you get bigger better hit,s in Rugby you have no pads smaller people and not as big hits

  • Dude no one can say shit about rugby, it's the hard football hits with no fucking pads or players protecting them. no one is safe in rugby.

  • lolrugby is so gay compared to american football. what faggit pussies

  • @13niggs O__O uhm...this is the same hits as football, and worse. Plus there are no pads and no players protecting them. You should play some rugby before you start running your mouth.

  • Rugby League = Greatest Sport in the world, the players in this video are the posh lads who play Rugby Union, RL tougher than R'kick and chase'U ;-)

  • 2:42 check his pants...

  • when people say football can you say american football cause am getting confused and rugby is the best sport

  • 41 people got smashed!!

  • Second row thats my place muthafucka... :P

  • 2:42 brutal

  • playing the hook baby :)

  • I play hook/prop and Ima 6 foot 230 pound grade 10 :) I'ma beast on the field

  • Beginning is really creepy

  • was this filmed with a potato?

  • @FreshFoodGamer more like his asshole lol

  • @FreshFoodGamer not a potato a carrot

  • @FreshFoodGamer no, it was a calculator

  • 1:48 is what happens when backs think they can run through a forward

  • @dantheman513 are you stupid? he is flanker that is a foward?

  • I play Second row :)

  • wing!!!

  • I'm from America and I call rugby real man's football. No stupid penalties for hits and crap.

  • I play Fullback, who's with me ?

  • I wing it!

  • What's the average career length? One, two seasons? Looks more like a fighting arena than an actual game.

  • @serpentine316 Nope, many players have played professionally for 15 years.

  • Fly half

  • Scrum Half

  • For everyone who argues about which is the harder sport: rugby or American football. They hit harder and from all angles in American football and it is really dangerous but they are so protected which allows all of that. Rugby is intense as fuck, no stop and start bullshit, no protection, fights, head clashes, bleeding, eye gouging, stamping and loads more. The harder sport to play is clearly rugby. However the hits are normally harder in the NFL,

Coming from a rugby player, have played AF.

  • I have a DII National championship medal and competed at that level every year that I played in college, then went on to coach. If any of my players played dirty rugby as exemplified here I would have kicked their asses back to the bench. There are good and bad collegiate teams, and clean and dirty play- but this is definitely not "professional level" throughout the video. Watch the upcoming final world cup matches if you want to see some really excellent, fast-paced, hard hitting, play.

  • Why make a video of all this illegal $ht so people who don't know rugby think this is how it is supposed to be played? You would be in the sin bin all game if you swung somebody around by their collar/neck or tackled this late. A real rugby player gets low and still gets his opponent down on the ground.

  • @AriadnetheMuse Its rugby 'Hits' Not tackles- but other wise.. good point

  • Damn I'm guessing this is at like a professional level in whatever country its in...In America I watched college rugby it was the most pussy thing I have ever seen. This video gave me new confidence in a sport that I thought was lame. There are some nasty hits. Oh yeah, a common misconception about the pads in american football is that they protect you. Ha not really they just give you more power and brute force to knock the shit out of people.

  • girls play american football....real men play rugby!!

  • @buttsaab2520 tell that to rey lewis

  • Much respect for American football, but one thing that irks me is the amount of protection that Quarterbacks and Kickers get. They're playing the game, then they should get the same treatment as the rest of the players. Pussies.

  • @ducati2180 quarterbacks need protection so they have time to throw the ball dumbass. kickers need protection too, every player on the football team is a necessity in order to score.

  • @ducati2180 Are you stupid? That's the whole point of football. the kickers need protection if they want to kick it. What do you expect to happen?? the team just letting them destroy their kickers and getting the ball closer? Same with the Quarterbacks, they need time to throw it so it's obvious that they need protection.

  • @PochoElojo rugby kickers dont get protected but can kick just brilliant!

  • @PochoElojo omg, gay yankees, u think that playing football is WOW, man, its GAY, really, i think its even more gay than playing golf, EVERYONE protected for head to toes, rugby is different, rugby is a really sport for men, no protection, just efort and passion, not as that gay football.

  • @iCopyYourVideos you forgort the gumshield

  • @iCopyYourVideos OK but in rugby they dont hit as hard as they can! Un like football when you know you can without killing yourself so shil out man!

  • @mrAmazing607 WTF? Have you ever seen a rugby match? hahah ur gay

  • @iCopyYourVideos Yeah I have stupid ass, and yes i'm perfectly happy

  • @iCopyYourVideos Dude, use spell-check before you try and "play" someone. Rugby is just a mixture of Australian football and American football. So first y'all need to come up with your own sport and not copy others. Also don't be a bunch of goons and just fight all the time. Why play a sport if all your going to do is fight?

  • @iCopyYourVideos Hey you fucking "man", if there is so much protection in american football league, it's because there was a lots of hit that injure player! Thinks for 2 sec instead of being a faggot

  • @lepetitcool hahaahha faggot? seems u dont even know what the fuck is rugby, just by checking out this video you can realize that you get the fuck more hitted and injured on rugby that on golf, i mean american football, like what the fucking hell i cannt even understand how the hell u can answer that shit, AMERICAN FOOTBALL IS GAY. the end

  • @iCopyYourVideos Again, your a faggot, go fuck yourseil with your fag rugby

  • @lepetitcool Do you realise your saying that on a rugby video. Seriously, why do so many American Football fanboys come onto rugby vids and talk crap. If it's to watch the vid, fair enough, but dont get upset when rugby fans trash talk on a rugby vid. Especially when you notice the amount americans talking crap.

  • @iCopyYourVideos your a fuckin tard yea rugby is more hard core but if american football didnt have pads and helmets there would be way more injuries than in rugby and thats a promise you go heads up with some one thats 6'4 350 with no pads if you do that i will give you some respect but until then stfu with dissin american football

  • @iCopyYourVideos LOL! Not a bad comment for an inbred fuck. Advice - watch NFL objectively and you'll see hits with helmets on exposed parts of the body that are harder than even the gang of boys that banged you in the ass last week. And it's kind of funny you're bragging about "no protection". But, I guess that's you're mistaking that for the no protection you like. Just sayin'.

  • @nobodyhome8 Okay so search 'the haka'

the come back and tell me football players would fuck with them on a night out?

  • @conorpower123 If you're intimidated by some strutting, I can't help you. I'm sorry. I know the dance well. It's just a dance. Very cool, but at the end of the day it's just a dance. I feel sorry for anyone that plays on that level and allows his head to be taken out of the game by pre-game bullshit. They're obviously a great team and I personally would be intimidated by their track record, not their pre-game prancing, dancing and strutting.

  • @iCopyYourVideos Ahah, did you ever get hit at football?

rofl, I play both and I prefer rugby for rules etc.. but football is harder than rugby.

  • @iCopyYourVideos I wouldnt want to play rugby in high school if im going to get permanent brain damage at the age of 15.

  • @XanROK0211 i play rugby since i was 8 year old (im 14 right now) and i never got seriously injured, yes i get bruises and some other damage every time i play but that whats the game about

  • @iCopyYourVideos Cool, but I wonder. Is it common to get brain damage? I play football, I get bruises, broken bones, concussions, etc.

  • @iCopyYourVideos so what? totally different sports....but it's FACT that NFL players are faster, stronger, more agile, more athletic, and just as tough as Rugby players. You field a team of NFL players and let them learn Rugby for HALF A YEAR and they'd embarrass any team you could at them......slow your role

  • @bucasas That

  • @bucasas That will never happen,

  • @iCopyYourVideos You take the fastest and strongest player in Rugby and put them in ONE BODY, you have an NFL player.

  • @bucasas ... ok i laughed.

what have been the worst incident that you have seen whit 14 years old kids playing football? maybe a broken bone or a bleeding nose.

I play for the rugby team of my school and i'm 14... i have seen friends geting K.O. , broken heads and broken clavicles.

I'm pretty sure, that for get that badly injured... you have to be hit or really fast or really hard... so yeah

  • @ducati2180 they do it because they feel that their position is "more important" than the others so they cover them the best so they can use them game to game

  • @ducati2180 Im a quarterback and I cant stand it when that kind of shit happens, if youre not tough enough to play it then get the fuck out. I completely understand you man.

  • @ducati2180 Yo Even American Football fans agree with that.. Search this name - Tom Brady. Then you will understand why all these pussy rules were made...Im a Ravens fan and i remember 2000 season when they won the superbowl (The era before Brady Rules). Beautiful defense

  • @ducati2180 Kickers definitely need to toughen up, but you don't seem to understand that the entire point of the game, is for 6'4" 300 pounders to hit the QB as hard as they can, as often as they can.

  • @ducati2180 Completey agree but the only reason QB's get more protection is that other teams try and intentionally hurt the player that is playing QB more than a RB or WR. Without its starting QB, the team will suck. So they get a little more protection. And Rugby is BADASS. Some fucking sweet tackles. Real full contact sport.

  • @ducati2180 ahhhh, aparently u dont watch football, QBS gett hammered when hit, and they are worth $10 million$

  • @creeperofthebutt I have played football for 9 years. I have played rugby for 5. Personally rugby takes a much tougher person to play than football, both mentally and physically. The hits may not be as hard but they sure as hell come close. Oh, and the only protection a rugby player has is a mouthpiece, no helmets, no shoulder pads, no pants padded out the ass, no pads. Also I highly doubt a NFL QB could play rugby. They are overpaid pampered pansies. I cant even watch football, it bores me know
