Hi Den, as usual loved the vid. Ive seen some fliers use bulldog clamps or rat traps to hold the silver beet. That way the birds cant foul it with their droppings. You screw or nail the rat trap or bulldog clamp to vertical surface in the loft. You then use the trap jaw or part of the clamp that usual hold the sheef of papers to hold the stems of the silver beet. Set the holder at a height so the green leafy part is at a convenient height for the birds to eat.

if it is going to be real hot, just giove them the garlic in the morning, and replace with fresh water by noon.

yes, breeders and flyers get greens on saturday from april through sept..

I like it myself....lol..tastes somewhat like spinach.. i hung the chard up today with a wire so they dont trample on it..
