It may be a waste of wire but I think you can get small really flat pieces of metal that sorta look like buttons that you can use as a support in the middle on the thin cardboard, then thread the wire through two opposing spots and twist the two wires together.

I like your videos and that you took the time to add link and such. The reason I found your page is because you are one of the top links when I googled, "How to make rice paste. I follow almost everything except I let my rice cool down a long time because I didn't want to wake up neighbors with a blender so early in the morning. My Point is that when it was wet and drying I could feel what I believe to be salt.
