It can never be known because there are 30,000 gospels on the planet. Every day there is a new gospel because that is the true answer. Its a game of cat and mouse. @mephesh There is indeed alot of confusion out there as to what is the true gospel. Yet God is not threatened by it. When one has been given the light of truth, there could be a billion counterfeits, but it would in no way keep God's people from knowing the voice of their Lord. Proverbs 2 promises that if you seek for wisdom as though for gold, you will find it; if you would discover the truth and with all diligence seek after it, the Lord promises he will refuse none that come unto him.

Just curious, what is your perception of the reason that Adam was thrown out of the garden? Was it merely the act of disobedience ot the word of god or was it for eating the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge? And if that fruit is what gave man his sense of being, why was God forbidding man to eat from that tree?

So, if I'm getting this right:

If I don't believe in God but I did before, then that means that I wasn't honest before? Because, for some reason, we are not allowed to question an alter our perceptions of the world?

So if I gave every dollar to a charity in full hope and honesty of it helping a needy child and then stopped when I found out the charity was a fraud, does that diminish what my beliefs were at the time that I gave? No, because I truly was trying to help, but now I know better.

This is probably the best rebuttals to the title of the video. However, boxercr, what you said falls under decisionism. We don't choose to follow God. We believe in Jesus Christ and repent our sins, and then we seek God to conform our lives to Jesus Christ. If you choose Jesus Christ, you are saying that you are in control. You are giving up control over your own life by believing and repenting. Don't take this as criticism, but rather as in Proverbs 27 where iron sharpens iron.

Repentance is a decision. We decide how to behave. We can decide to follow the desires of our own hearts or we can follow the Lord's commands. A person will decide to follow the Lord's commands once they realize their transgressions will lead them to destruction. The only way out is Jesus. The combination of belief in Jesus, confession of sins, repentance, and baptism is know as faith which is how a person can access God's grace.
