Man, those drills are great. Thanks bro. My step son has really taken an interest in football. So I am doing some research on helping him become the best football player that he can be.
I'm def gonna use these drills I just made an semipro team and these drills are gonna def help me I'm fast and athletic but technique always can be improved
Cjah2688 Great job Isiejah!! When you post folks will post.. Keep doing you!! I think everyone likes your video. It's all in constructive criticism.. I think your hips are quick-keep cutting the grass where you don't pick your feet up in and out of breaks. It will give that perception.. You're easily a DB meaning all CB/SS/FS.. Coach Goodman of Primetechniques
BRO DADWALK11 IS RIGHT ABOUT YOUR HIPS, I GET PAID TO DO THIS FOR A LIVING BRO SO JUST LISTEN, OH THOSE GUYS AINT ALWAYS GONNA TELL YOU THE TRUTH EITHER. PATRICK PETERSON IS MY HOMIE WE WORK OUT ALL THE TIME AND I HELP HIM SO LISTEN. NEVER MAKE EXCUSES BOUT JUST FINISHING DOING OTHER THINGS THAT WHY THIS OR THAT. BRO NO MATTER IF I RUN 10 100M(ALL UNDER 12SEC.), THEN DO MY FOOT WORK IMA LOOK CRISP, AND SHARP SO WHENEVER YOU DO YOUR THING DO IT CRISP OR DONT DO IT AT ALL, DB IS AN ART!
@239monster You're right! Thanks. Im just trying to get better. I have no problem posting stuff like this because if you follow em all, you'll see the progression... But thanks for the advice.
good size but your hips are stiff. no urgency out of your turns and you are hanging your drive foot out of the break. not hating just some tips to help you.
@dadwalk11 - Thanks for watching. I never heard that I was stiff, not even from pro scouts. Ive always been complemented on my agility and flexibility. But you're entitled to your opinion. These videos I post are during/after workouts, meaning it is for TEACHING/LEARNING, not for me to show how fast I can go. If you want me to do that, then I could do that. Thanks again for watching
scouts will compliment you to your face and throw you under the bus in the staff meeting. bottom line is, did you get signed or not? that's where the truth of what they think about your skills are. post more vids of yourself going as fast as you can go if you like. i will tell you what i think of that vid as well. might not matter to you but one thing is I will give you an honest accredited opinion. i played at every level and know what im talking about. NFL ALUMNI
@dadwalk11 I can see your point.. I can see that he's definetly instructing a video.. Key thing is in each drill he's getting from point a to point b quickly.. His hips are up under him as well ready to strike.. This is ghost training- just like shadow boxing..watch him backpeddle then open up then quick flip turn--there's a grip of db's I train to do that drill-he's quick in the hips.and would be much quicker with a WR present.. Sorry for the He Isiejah Allen.. Coach Goodman of Primetechniques
@ahgoodm all good coach. He is a competitor; I wouldn't have it any other way. Let me be clear, my post wasn't some random comment just to ruffle somebodies feathers. I'm pulling for him! I wasn't aware that he was teaching because there were no words until the end of the video. I took it as he was displaying his skills for a possible look at the next level. Best of luck!
@cjah imma cb just starting my second year of football and I did really well last year and earned a starting pos but this year there's slot more competition any tips?
@reggiebush777 u do have to stay low but if u are too low and out of ur comfort zone it doesn't really help sure u do have to stay low but not at the expense of ur technique
@noahnater7 Not everyone will look exactly the same, I do what is most comfortable and most effective for me. I have been trained by several NFL and CFL DBs. I dont think I know everything, but I think my basics are solid.
not to hate on you or anything , but everything you do , whether its a cut , a change of movement , you always stand up before doing it , try staying low
@Reggiebush777 It isn't necessarily about staying real "low" in and out of your breaks. You have to break from a comfortable, athletic position. Too many guys focus on being as low as possible and sacrifice explosion and comfort
yo imma DB an im tryin out for the UFL vegas team i ben playin in college for bout 2 years now i do most of thed workouts u got on here i watched all ur tryout vids ur an inspiration man n e tips for a new comer to the UFL/ pro ball scene?
@bmorer - Just know that when you get to the pro level its a business, so just work on your game everyday and make a team want to invest money in you. Stay Hungry!
