As an old saying goes.

It comes from the the music played in the old "warehouse" club in new york, which was basically a disco club, and the name got shortened because people would go into the record store and ask for the music that was played in the warehouse, hense, house!

So house music (although generally it has a four four repetative beat) can be anything you like!

I was not particularly a House DJ... However, my friend, a female party promoter in Buffalo knew I loved it, and once up in B-lo to play one of her parties in 98 or so, she gave me a copy. I carried that thing in my box for 11 years waiting for just that right moment where the mood, and reverence for the music come together, sometimes, in a magical way. If they were to magically re-appear in production, I don't know what I would change from my current habits.... Probably play A LOT more.... and think and worry A LOT less... probably shop a lot....
