Well the good news is that they're working on it, a small group, but EA does see the potential in it :)

Can't wait for it! My demands: 1. Less linear storyline with less linear maps. 2. Weather. 3. More missions at nights + infiltration missions, with sneaking and hiding and no fighting 4. More role to other runners.

that is because they're are two separate animations for characters (1 is the view that the player sees and the other is the view that someone else sees, they are two different animations for this, if you don't believe me take a look at older games like halo 1 were from the first person perspective you had no legs but other players could see your legs.) all modern games have 2 animations, you just don't notice. they could easily make faiths movements look like celests.

I stil have some faint hope that after BF3 and BFBC3 they will make a second. after all battlefield is DICE's only other franchise and EA are the ones who are not that interested in the idea of mirrors edge 2 not DICE. meaning they want to make something different and mirrors edge is there next franchise meaning it has the best chance of succes after battlefield. there are a lot of modern shooters and unless there is battlefield in space than DICE needs to do something different

EA actually is interested in Mirror's Edge 2. The president confirmed Mirror's Edge 2 and said he loved the first one. He also said Mirror's Edge 2 is going to use Frostbite and probably have a map editor included.

Frostbite 2 has better graphics and they're changing because they was supposed to use frostbite on the first one too, but Frostbite wasn't finished in time so they used Unreal Engine.

I'm pretty sure the reason they're changing is also because Frostbite 2 is their engine, the one they made.

And I wouldn't say it's getting onto every game. So far all we know is 3 games that's going to use it.
