@marvinandjosh heeeeeeee...it's REALLY good at detangling..like REALLY..the teeth are seamless i believe, there are no balls on the ends for the hair to get snagged in..i use it when my hair is wet and has conditioenr/leave in/detangler on it...i do it in sections..and it gets out EVERY snag and tangle there is

@ShaunieceCooks hi! a co-wash is "Washing" the hair with conditioner instead of shampoo..the conditioner cleanses the hair (not as well as shampoo) while adding moisture to it

I bought it for myself when I was pregnant b/c I was told I can't have relaxers while pregnant and after about 7 months of no relaxing, my new growth was kickin my rooty patooty. @ceron1985 welcome!!..i just moisturize the hair that's hanging out..mainly the ends..that's it..the middle eventually dries..if i haven't detangled before hand..yea..it's be tangled..but flat..i don't worry about it..b/c i detangle once a week

@keishiarenee now..i'm going with every relaxer b/c i want to maintain the length..so like ever 4 months...before..it varied..i sometimes went every 6 months..once i went a whole year w/o trimming..but i used NO direct heat that whole year..i say to trim as needed..if you're using a lot of direct heat..you may need to trim a little more often..if you'ret aking care of your ends..then you should be fine with skipping trim or two

The denam brush that you mentioned......it looks like it will take your hair out. Because it's hard plastic, it seems like it will be too harsh on the hair. I never did like the denam brush. I know it will break my fragile thin hair completely off. I think a paddle brush is much better.

@keishiarenee aww...it looks worse than it is..paddle brushes have those little balls on the tips..and my hair ALWAYS gets snagged in them..the denman is hard plastic..but there are no seams and balls to snag and rip the hair..you just have to take your time

Hey, Bronzeg thanks so much for sharing this it is appreciated. I've been wondering for a while about the whole co wash in a ponytail thing. I'm sure this is great with reducing manipulation. How long do you leave your hair in a ponytail and cowash without combing?? And when you do finally comb how badly is it tangled or matted???

@blaqueonyx h iblaque..ok..when i would co-wash in a pony (i don't do so any more..laziness)..my holder would not be on tight..it'd be wrapped around twice...i'd do that for about a week..i went a little longer once...i don't hink i've ever experienced matting before..tangling..it depends...if my hair was knotty to begin with..yea..i'd have some tangling..but i'd take my time with it..load my hair with lots of conditioner..and do it in sections

@keishiarenee ehhhh...i would say so..but that could be b/c i'm not really detangling before hand..so it could be hair that needed to come out any way...or it could be b/c i'm so many weeks post relaxer..i tend to shed a lot when i'm due for one...but i don't comb or manipulate my hair after it's dry
