  • It's called "Italian Herb Mix" - you'll find it in the spice aisle at the supermarket. It's really good in spaghetti sauce ;)

  • how about binding the sauce the next day, season to taste and cook some pasta. The cream has so much flavour from the onions, ham and herbs. A perfect leftover meal.

  • You can if you wish, but I find if you add less of the liquid, you get a firmer bake with thicker sauce.

  • that's really good but what you are going to do with the rest of milk and cream liquid!!

  • There isn't much of the excess cream left, but if you hate to waste, transfer it into a container and chill it in the fridge.

    The sauce can then be used for dipping, or pour it over cold potatoes for a quick Potato Salad!
