Please do us Americans a favor and tell us the temps and measurements in our own system. You know how we are, we are not going to learn metric just to follow these recipes lol You are a pleasure to watch and I love your videos. I'm going to try this method next time I make this dish, I usually do it totally in the oven and it takes forever. I think you are helping people make the most of their food dollar, and that's commendable.
@Tonithenightowl If you search Google for a free conversion chart, you can print it out and keep it in the kitchen. Just look for "Australian Metric" and you'll be in business ;)

how about binding the sauce the next day, season to taste and cook some pasta. The cream has so much flavour from the onions, ham and herbs. A perfect leftover meal.

You can if you wish, but I find if you add less of the liquid, you get a firmer bake with thicker sauce.

There isn't much of the excess cream left, but if you hate to waste, transfer it into a container and chill it in the fridge.
The sauce can then be used for dipping, or pour it over cold potatoes for a quick Potato Salad!
