@hematitecrow they technically dont... it all works under chemical influence. for example, a t-cell may come and bind to a and recruit death domains that starts apoptosis.
personally i do give a fark cells or bacteria what is oxygen a cell or what is it an atom or a cell or is it lots of atoms that make a cell or does an atom consists of lots of cells
anyone that has comments on this vid do any of you know what you are talking about or is it just your opinion and you believe it to be true and when you say it makes yourself feel intelligent just wondering i don't anything about this
bring on the treatment to turn it off so we can live a little longer
Awak666: Apoptosis has nothing to do with living longer, it is a reaction governed by cells for either emergency (in case the cell comes under attack) or a time factor (to recycle old cells and bring in new). Death cannot be quantified because the individual cells of the body are still working after death, and we currently have no way to discern death of the body from which cells actually die to produce it. We can only check a pulse and declare it.
A cell is made of atoms/molecules Atoms are the building blocks of everything - ithe smallest possible particle. Oxygen as you know it is actually a molecule, it is actually two oxygen atoms. A single oxygen atom is not stable, so the oxygen you know is known as O2. If someone says however that a molecule contains oxygen, then mean a single oxygen not O2. But hte oxygen you breathe is O2. (the 2 is usually small)
Atmoms are made up of quarks, and it is believed quarks are made of "strings".
@Awak666 Every cell in your body undergoes division and aptosis. Hair is dead cells.. finger nails.. that is the visible. Atoms make up cells, cells make up tissues.. tissues make up organs, and that makes up systems--- all the way to us. Our composition undergoes aptosis... so then... why do we wish to be immortal and not accept the inevitable... I'll tell you why, because some of us haven't hit supreme intelligence... and that in my dictionary... means... "acceptance".
@philipjterry On influencing cells without reproductive errors, I’m afraid we can’t fight probabilities. You may be able to work up the mathematical model or new boolean-like mathematics to redesign the genome, but genetics has worked on the problem for billions of years, and we aren’t likely to shift it without creating a whole new order of species. But it’s not at all a dim view. We can focus on handling the broken cells though.
@Awak666 first off thumbs down for ignorance... I'm no expert but in the fields of chemistry or biology but this is obvious stuff. Atoms make up chemical compound (molecules of stuff, a water molecule is h20, to parts hydrogen one part oxygen) which make up cells. So lots of atoms make up cells
fascinating...

may I ask where the music is from? =) it's what intrigued me more than the process of apoptosis itself

That’s beautiful. A living cell sacrificing itself so that others may live...perhaps forever.

I thought cells don't really "think"

So, the question is how can we influence cells to divide seamlessly without errors?

no, they are bacteria, I looked again, the second movie....the little black dots are bacteria.

i also watched it again, and you're right. I'm sorry, but thanks for sharing your knowledge with me. :)
