Both frogs and toads are under stress. Harvesting these native animals to feed to captive fish is so unnecessary and environmentally wrong. Nightcrawlers and pellets would do the job. These little boys need to grow up or get help for their sadistic fetish.

Never be like this dumb kid and feed your fish toads or even frogs or salamanders. Yes toads secrete poison, we all know this, most amphibians do. Secondly, they often carry diseases that are foreign to your fish. Pet store amphibians do as well. Thirdly, you have no idea how that toad affected your fish. It was mostly likely in pain for days after you fed that to him. And fourth, if that amphibian was wild caught, you better hope it isn't endangered. If it is, you are moron. That is all.

And they had a huge lutino oscar! He was 14 in plus! I couldnt believe it. I was looking and he swam right up to me and gave me the sadest eyes ive ever seen.

I was gonna adopt him but they wanted 30 bucks for him...i have a spare 55 gallon ive been itching to stock. But i plan to breed angels...god i hope he goes to a good home

@pitbull0592 I'm no expert, but I did do a small research project on the fish (which is actually why I bought one) in 10th grade. Oscar's require a balance of certain nutrients (easily findable via wikipedia or google). I would suggest (this is what I did) a mix of pellets and live food (minnows, bugs, etc.). My Oscar always was noticeably happier after a live feeding rather than a pellet, but live food doesn't have all of their essential nutrients. the pellets are like vitamins in a sense.

btw my osca is only 8inch atm, but my softshell is about 13inch. but they get along in the same tank. tiger oscas are one of a few species of fish compatible with agressive spiny softshell or florida softshell turtles. there like buddies swimming around together after i put £20 worth of live tropical fish in there. danios and guppies hahahahahahahah am evil but its fun.
