  • @smlshaker End, when he meets the girl in amsterdam

  • @smlshaker the ending

  • i really love this song and i really really want to see knaan

  • This sounds like it was played in Lion King

    in like the beginning..

  • i find it strange that they used this song in a happy scene in harold and kumar, but the lyrics of this song is very very sad. its about a noble, poet, steadfast in prayer, falling into evil ways and temptation.

  • @gibigbig i think that they used it more because it has a happy but mellow tone to it and they were stoned and stoners love nice mellow sounding music

  • @gibigbig but also about fighting for freedom. That and it's upbeat, and I assure you half of those who watch won't pay a lot of attention to the lyrics.

  • GUANTANAMO BAY!

  • Harold and Kumar escape from guantanamo bay <'3

  • @aura300

You utter tit. What valdez343 meant was that you were wrong to say "THE best band" because its not a band. It's one person. ¬_¬

  • If you said this song sounds stupid, then may be you are the one who is stupid. He says " the poet got a proposal, he will always hope but never know what it feels s to be free" in one of his. Do you even understand what this line means?

  • knaan inspires me seing him tomorrow at me day cant wait

  • FIST UP!

  • I think I am a Kuuni.

  • whats a kuuni?

  • @bmrick009 There's some debate on whether he is daying "kuuni" or "hakuna" (Somali for "no worries"). He certainly looks to be saying "hakuna".

  • @bmrick009 heart

  • Comment removed

  • @bmrick009 He's talking about a movie: Wend Kuuni (imdb). re-listen to the song and you'll understand. Read imdb's summary and listen to the beginning song before yeah, yeah, yeah. K'naan is talking about a mute man's biography. Wend Kuuni is the name given to that man; it means God's gift, but the small statement I made doesn't do justice of what that gift is. Thumbs up so others can know about this song more.

  • @bmrick009 A Kuuni is a person in a religious group in africa

  • Comment removed

  • @bmrick009 its probably hakuna which is swahili for none

  • Amazing song. i wihs all songs had the amazing meanings and stories that his doo because it makes everyone enjoy his music and want to sing it rather than sing about asses shaking and huge boobs.

  • YESSSS!!! This is one of the last songs in Harold and Kumar 2!! Was desperate to find this song! :D

  • @GrowTheTruth me to :D

  • @lAdYiCy77 go fuck yourself

  • I put up my fist because all I want is freedom

  • my xbox got the red rings of death and this song made me feel better :)

  • the difference between k'naan and eminem is that

k'naan uses more of peace and no abusive words @ all

but all eminem songs have abusive words

    HAHA

    (:

    peace (:

    x

  • Theres Eminem that lived in the hood. Then Theres K'naan that wished to live in the hood besides his environment.. Respect.

  • @Sklenade only eminem didnt live in "the hood" he lived in a northern suburb of Detroit and chose to move to the ghetto when he was a teenager so he could get some street cred. He's from Warren, not Detroit.

  • @Sklenade

wtf are u talking about that k'naan wished that he lived in the hoods???

....he grew up in mogadishu, SOMALIA while somali government got corrupt

where he grew up was much more WORSE than the american "hoods"

then he fled to new york, then moved to canada due to the war in somalia still going on today....KNAAN been through so much more than eminem...but eminem still has gone thru a lot but not as much struggle than KNAAN

  • Fuck k'naan and eminem together, are you on crack?

  • Lyrics are wrong : A knock on his door, his HEART is no more

  • Finally meaningful lyrics in an amazing song. I can listen to the song over and over and pick up on something new everytime

  • damnn thts y i love k'naan this guy doesn rap about sex n shit

  • @coolnida2008 Mo money mo bitches

  • yay K'naan

  • At first I was like WTF.....then this song grew on me

  • We're dancing to this song in my modern class!

  • Why on earth isn't the media playing his songs?? This is amazing music, pure talent and just sent from the heavens!

  • @amyruh12

the media is scared of k'naan cos he is talking about the real deal

  • their should be alot of people like k'naan

  • this song gets me pumped

  • Anyone else think that sounds like Boxxy at the beggining with the "Eeeyowww!"? btw awsome awsome song

  • I love the scene from the movie when this song plays! :D

  • @IMR702I what movie

  • @TheDasboy Harold And Kumar: Escape From Guantanamo Bay

  • Roldiiiii

  • at this song you need lyrics...

  • i wana see knaan and eminem make a song

  • @JCopper11 Why not?

  • @ggggggggiiiiiiiiilll it would be kaminem

  • @ggggggggiiiiiiiiilll IT WOULD BE GREAT :D

  • @ggggggggiiiiiiiiilll I dont think it would be such a perfect idea, there both good rappers in a different way. Eminem curses but still awesome, knaan rapswith out cursing.

  • @meee617

Lol, have you not listened to any other of K'naan's songs? He throws cuss words here and there.

Anyways, awesome song, much love to K'naan! Show couple weeks ago was amazing!

  • @ggggggggiiiiiiiiilll /watch?v=Xwz7OVhlZHk about as close as you will get :)

  • @ggggggggiiiiiiiiilll and i want to see you shoot yourself in the face.....

  • @ggggggggiiiiiiiiilll I don't, eminem is gay. I wanna see knaan and lupe fiasco make a song

  • @ggggggggiiiiiiiiilll

Eminem doesn't rap about anything other than himself and his self induced demons. He needs to grow up before he can be on K'naan's level. I have no interest in hearing that.

  • @marknorman04 if you think so, you should really listen to his songs..and probably read his lyrics

  • haha heard this on harold and kumar <3 ;D

  • @3M1LYN1C0L3 woooooooooooooooord

  • i love his music

    somali pride=)

  • big up Mogadishu

  • @lotrfreak321 i don't get it?

  • im sad my speakers cant get any louder D=

  • so cool

  • ITS BETTER TO LIGHT A CANDLE THAN TO CURSE THE DARK---K'NAAN <3

  • @maxieyellowbobpants its a somali proverbe

if you were somali than you would know thatt

    (no offense intended)

and he used that because he knew that most people wouldent know that so he used it

and plus, hes still ingenious, but just saying

  • @MissMiMiMelons

im not somali so thank you for tellin me the info!!!!

  • @maxieyellowbobpants

my fb status for today (:

  • @kandysalina

thats great to hear my dear :)

  • @maxieyellowbobpants In the eyes of the youth there are question marks

  • @treefrog302

    like freedom,

freedom for the mind and soul,

    we don't see them,

see them for their worth at all,

    that's why we lead them,

lead them to these wars and what is it we feed them,

feed them our impurities and who it is we treat them,

treat them like the enemy humanity will need them,

need them like the blood we spill and where freedom

  • @maxieyellowbobpants

yeh but thats actually an old chinese proverb

  • @wirechair

  • @raoulmbabazi Don't forget Notorious B.I.G.

  • @raoulmbabazi wow why would you diss them they are good to that is just rude go fuck off

  • @rocknthabeats they are good??? which one ? Lil Wayne? Oh yeaah... he said this in the Inkredible song " Wife and child.. Leave'em how i found them"... YOU are the one who needs to fuck off... I wasn't talking to you... was I??! Just acknowledge the fact thad RUN-DMC , A Tribe Called Quest etc etc are waaaaaaaaaaay better than your "hip hop" rappers... There's million more people on youtube that would agree with me... I dare you to try.. you clearly don't know squad about hip hop...

  • @raoulmbabazi yeah jack o ass they are all good i dont see you doing better and they dont ever mean those lyrics so shut the fuck up thats was what the people that have good taste in music want to hear so there miserable lives can look better i bet your live can be discribed as a dumb ass song that is tragic so go ahead and listen up with your mind full of bug juice and you might learn something and value yourself and other people :)

Just scroll down, and you'll find more comments like mine... I don't even know why you commenting on this page, if EVEN K'NAAN thinks the same! He pretty much stated the same stuff, but in other words... K'naan himself agrees with us, ok?? LOOOL and again, i wasn' talking 2 you xD
