i think sum1 shud get an N4000 high speed sport class model rocket engine and stick it on the back of a homemade rc dragster, trust me, the engine puts out about 16.5k newtons in the impulse, make the dragster long and medium weight
haha, thats just insane!!! I dont think I have the guts to control something that small going that fast! I do have some engines that I'd like to use, but need to find the time again to rebuild and play around. My objective with this was to build a 1/10 scale car that would be able to complete on a 1/10 scale 1/4 mile (132 feet). Now, I just need to find a track close enough to NY...
I have a offroad buggy me and my mate are currently rebuilding to take 3 commercial estes rockets to launch it, and then we have one large homemade rocket that should give 30 seconds with 3.5 kilos of thrust. We are going to run in at the local saltlake used by RC plane guys... Hopefully it will be weather for it in the next 3 - 6 months
Nice job, ive tried this before and it is extremely hard to do right, you should show us how you positioned the rocket, if you could that would be great
hehe cool man! I have some other engines that I'd like to use that spit out blueish flames! Im looking for a long stretch with just enough light to guide the car at night...and long enough so it has room to stop lol
Nice. I love the Car and the video, I am planning on making one but i don't know where to start so how did you mount the D-12 and the E-9 to the chassis of the car and also how did you get the chute to eject out of the rear while the ejection charge is facing the opposite direction.
Hey man! thanks for the comment! If you look carefully when the video begins, I used an Estes D-12 rocket engine for the first pass, and the rest are all E-9's... the biggest ones I could find at a local hobby store. And they dont cost more than $10 for a pack of 3. Just be careful where you use them, and how you use them! Good luck!
hehehe...hey man , of course I had to modify it: the chassis is an old Team Trinity pro stock drag race chassis...i think skinny tires up front, original (and old ) tires in the back...very very few mods...it hasnt been run since last summer, but come spring, i'll hopefully have loads of videos...if you want to build one, let me know..only a very few people run these cars like I do, and are easy to contact on top of that...
What scale car were you using and what di it weigh? I'm running a 1/25th scale 65 GTO and c6 rocket, total weight is .5 pounds. Tracks straight. Crashed too many times, each time I rebuilt it, now building a 1/25th 1970 Impala. I may have to use a D engine on it for fun. I loved your video.
ok how do i lite 4 este rockets off at once
