They have never strictly followed the comics but they have more than not. There's copyright for all characters pertaining to the comics. The only one they can literally do anything with is Chloe because she was made up for the show. We'll see where it goes though with Lex..I mean comics/movies wise he's never been anything but evil. So this "change of heart" cant last forever.

As for Lex, he's had a slight change of heart but his obsession with her will be just as big as his obsession when Clark saved him, ironically both in car accidents. He's not "mellow and nice" for long. It's Lex Luthor we're talking about.
Did anyone else but me feel sorry for kara in this scene? you can tell that she's thinking about the people of krypton, and she's all alone her first night on earth.
No I felt the same way, I have it in the description. I think it's that, plus the fact that she knows how long she was trapped under water and now she's just kinda out there trying to continue something that was meant to happen years prior.

That was such an amazing episode....and the ending.....WOW. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, because this episode was spectacluar. I just hope the same will be true for the rest of the season.

I nearly crapped myself when I heard Kelly Clarkson's "Sober" at the end of this episode. I was like..."OMG!!!" lol
This season premier was AMAZING, a little sad they didnt run with the bizarro character a little longer. But oh well.
