omg how do u do this, i want to learn im not joking is there classes u can take at a college for this or something, please respond jovanniluna@gmail.com
you are using just distilled water? well that explains y you have to have all that in your setup it takes a lot to air cool down water. that's the reason y you use coolant in your cars cooling system it cools down faster when its air cooled and as it moves. thats y you cant use just distilled water in your cars cooling system. it will over heat! and stop working lol. now with computer systems its not exactly the same but close. most computers have a fail safe to prevent overheating. cars don't.
@clamo636 The car,pc comparison is so bad in many ways.A car has coolant instead of just distilled water for a few reasons! A cars coolant reaches MUCH higher temps than a pc would, so needs additive to stop it boiling.A pc doesnt.A car is subjected to freezing conditions that would crack the block, a pc doesn`t be exposed to -10c or -20c.Coolant in the car also goes some way to lubricating the water pump and also inhibiting corrosion.when was the last time you saw rust in a pc`s water?
@JooHaxDemoTaken you must not have messed with to many pc's to know that temps can reach above 200F and still operate. or else y would they have to use nitrogen to supper cool them. and it sounds like you know nothing about cars. water pumps on cars do not need lubrication. the only thing you have to watch out for with them is if they start to leak out the weep hole or the main gasket. if you got rust in your cars cooling system you are doing something wrong. were do U think the idea came from
I bought my 1st computer when you were but a kid in 1983.I`ve been using, programming, fixing, overclocking etc since and there`s barely a day since 83 that i haven`t been doing some of the above.I also repair pc`s and do custom builds for ppl.
2nd, i also service my own motorcycles, cars and the only time my car has ever seen a garage in the last 20 years is when i don`t have the equipment to do the work, such as new tyres.I do the bikes tyres myself.
no im saying for all the stuff you got to push your system temps to as low as you can get them mine does about the same temps with less stuff and a slower pump. larger toobs and a faster pump don't = better cooling. now another RAD and maybe more coolant might help temps, but i know faster flow is not the key to low temps
@clamo636 there is always a constant in the loop i agree however fans and fast or slow will make a difference also i cool motherboard and graphics cpu all overclocked if you read in the forums i have done pretty well with my low temps i dont use coolant i use distill water and a coil so i know i am moving more heat than your coolant fact aswell all in a single loop however when i xfire i will go dual again my heat /temps will drop m8
@clamo636 it was to show full speed but with 2 x 360 and a 120 at full speed pushes about 13 lpm so temps stay around 30c idle 56c stressed with prime 95@ 4ghz
@pmcted2 lol this pc has changed to a re 2 now i use i/2 at the mo i have a small section from north bridge to graphics inlet i use mcp very powerfull pump pump cpu 360 rad to 120 rad to 120 rad graphics north bridge to res temps idle 32/34 load on prime using ht off 58c 4ghz overclock @ 1.27 v bclk 191 using 3/8 and 1/2 causes very small restriction change from one to two loops in summer winter if needed but i fiddle all the time to get the best temps i can
I have come to the understanding that there are 4 ports in the back. 1 goes straight to impeller flow indicator. The three that are left I know you pick one for output (does it matter which one?)
Also, did the Res come with plugs to plug up the remaining holes? Or did you have to purchase your own plugs.
@JizzFTW two ports are plugged inlet is impeller side outlet is lower right side or use either of the plugged ports they are there for if you want to install leds hope that helps
Cooling system ram does very little, if anything to help performance. RAM simply does not get hot enough to benefit from cooling. Even RDRAM does not get hot-- individual cells in use may get hot, which is why they include a heatspreader-- but the entire RDRAM module does not get hot enough to warrant a full heatsink setup.
Cooling video card ram, which is much more stressed under load, seems to help... albiet not more than a few mhz.
How did you get it to glow dude, Ive been thinking about using on of these res's in my next prject, did you use UV LED's mounted in the unused outlets?

I'd buy this res in a second if it was able to house a pump (eg Laing D5) like a few of the XSPC res's do.
Till then, i'm just keeping my XSPC res in operation.

ive got a thermaltake 760i and the pump don't move coolant that fast at all an my temps are about the same.
clamo636 1 year ago
@clamo636 so you have 2 x360 and 120 in 800d i use a d5 swiftech pump your thermaltake only pushes 500lph on a dual rad m8 check on 3/8 versus my 1/2
divwiz2005 1 year ago
um it seams to move coolant a little to fast?

do that reservoir have any lights (leds) in it to make it green? or is that just the coolant?

@tombiddles it looks to bright not to be lit up by LED's, but I have been wrong before.
