I have reason 4 but I can't figure out how to make it full screen, it only seems to wanna stay half screen. Does it go full screen? and im not talking about the little tab that makes the grid full screen, I mean the whole program- racks and all.

Separate the sequencer, you can make that full size top right, put your rack on top (or underneath)

I don't think you can make just the rack 'full screen' since it is vertical anyway. The tools are always separate. The best you can do is have the sequencer full screen as your background. (click on my name and have a look at my video made with reason)

@RichardEP O yea I watched your vid, that was why I asked you specifically cuz your rack took up the whole screen- that is a pretty bad ass filthy electro bass you produced there. Im still a newb but this program is fascinating and I use at a LOT so im on a knowledge mission. Do you know how to play something (like the default sound that comes in something like the sub tractor or Thor when you load it into the rack? I so far only know how to do it through the Matrix pattern sequencer...

You need a keyboard or midi controller, from about 100 quid plug it into a usb and reason should recognise it. Try the apeggiator with a random pattern and a digital delay on the bass, sounds great. Or download a free composer program, convert the notes into midi and load in...

Not to be one of those overly-critical obnoxious youtube haters, which I'm not, but the Maelstrom is a 'graintable' synth, not 'grainable'. And you mispronounced polyphony. I thought it was a little odd that this vid shows you each step of creating the sound, but didn't really explain what those steps do and we weren't able to hear the sound at different stages of its construction. Not even at the end!

1st: When he sets the motion for osc A, he says to "set it to 64". It should be -64.

2nd: The 2nd wiring out from the Spider going to the mixer seems wrong, routing audio out directly from the compressor to the mix will give you sound.

3rd: It looks like he's playing the piano roll for the Malstrom to hear the routing. Play the RPG-8 in order to hear its influence in the synth.

4th: Why make a tutorial where we don't even get to hear the end result? Weirdness.

It's like showing someone a math problem with the answer and then going through with the problem and not showing how the result was accompished. For all we know that "result" could've been after some tweaking, which is what I had to do.
