  • Incredible car! I'm looking for a 530d donor for my e30 and i have a few questions: Can you please give some information about the electrical adjustments and/or engine connection? Did you have to work around the abs signal? Do you perhaps have a forum with a build description? Thank you very much!

    with big IC and upped fuelling u may be getting cloe to 300?

    dam fine engines apparantly, but if I was doing a conversion I would be more inclined to use a mechanically injected diesel, even a common rail converted.

    how did u adapt the wiring etc?

  • @tpvalley 184bhp is standard, so you're right.

    I already have a big IC and bigger turbo installed and the ECU is reprogrammed to its maximum. But the fuel system has mechanical limits I have to fix before I reach my goal of 300bhp. My next step is to install a water / methanol injection which hopefully gives me some power.

    Why I use a common rail diesel is because I believe it is cheaper to get more power than in a mechanically injected diesel.

    if u r only modifying fuelling and turbo etc then u only need to buy a decent fuel pump thats been up calibrated enough and do the same turbo and IC stuff but the comon rail engine is a lot more expensive to buy.

    take the mercedes om605 engine, u can get close to 500bhp with just the right size pump elements and a big turbo and IC.
