But as shit as it is i was thinking instead of buying a bigger car and getting shagged on insurance do these redtop 2.0's fit in corsa b 1.2 chassis are all corsa b chassis the same regardless of engine size? i hope they are cuz ill keep my 1.2 badge on put a 2.0 in put a turbo on it and sum mofo are in for a surprise at the lights hehehehe
All corsa chassis are the same, however, you cant just drop a 2ltr lump in and go. You need to get the chassis welded to strengthen it, and get a fitting kit from somewhere like Regal Motorsport. You will need to uprate all the suspension with either full adjustable Konis or Decent Coilovers. A good conversion will set you back around £3000
The handling will depend on how much you spend on coilovers and size of your wheels and quality of your tyres. This corsa at the time was running on a set of 16" speedlines with Toyo Proxes (Soft Compound) and Bilstien Coilovers, lowered about 70mm all round.
Didnt rub on the arches, and handled like it was on rails.
